Yes, that's true when we are into text messaging we forget to look at things until it is too late to recognize we have run into something we least expect to happen. Your poem delivered that message to the readers, meaning you are effective despite the brief medium as 5-7-5. Excellent write.

Better the mall pond than when behind the wheel! In any case, it serves her right. Texting is far too invasive. I just Wish more would just put their tech down and enjoy the world around them. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest.

LOL awesome 5/7/5 poem about a woman texting and fell in a fountain. I think this is funny and true. I am amazed at how many people text and drive or walk, it is so dangerous, not only for them but for all the people involved. Good job with the syllable count.
