Hello Roy Glad I dropped by and read you message of the value of dreams
I agree if we didn't have dreams as you said dreams help fill the question what is the purpose in our lives

This is a beautiful inspirational piece and I enjoyed it very much. I was moved to tears. What a great message to send! I loved it from beginning to end. I liked the way you expressed the meaning of life so perfectly. I liked how you did this stanza:

For in my mind I've pondered,
how does my person fit?
With all my gifts and leanings,
where does my purpose sit?

Who has not done this. What perfect wording! Also your author's notes are awesome and much appreciated. Good luck in all of your writing endeavors! God bless

So when we find our purpose,
and know what price to pay.
Remember through life's problems,
that God will find a way.

This is a powerful poem. Many will get all puffed up with their talent, it reminds me that God can use the least talented ones, all he needs is a willing vessel to use.

This is a lovely poem, Roy. It speaks of our dreams and ambitions.
And this is so true: Proverbs 29:18a "Where there is no vision, the people perish." KJV.
One typo:
supplying ether's fare.
supplying either's fare. / either

Dreams and aspirations
without them men would languish
they'd tremble at the doorway
as journeys they delay
for lack of understanding
the purpose of God's handing.

This work explains what most of us are afraid of and how to push through and keep trying. I like its rhythm and its message. Its easy to read and I liked the outcome. Thanks for sharing it.

Wonderful, Roy. Great advice in good meter and rhyme.

Don't tremble at the door way
and say, "I'll wait a year."

THat's what young people do long before they realize that life is short and old age comes on faster than you expected. Then it's too late. I wish there were a way for youth to live ONE day as me at 70 and in poor health. ONE DAY and they'd never waste a moment of life again.

Question. I know KJV means King James Version of the Bible so what does NIV mean.
I believe God has a plan for each of us. We will be here until that plan is fulfilled. I have been thinking mine had to do with poetry but the way things are going I guess not. Not on this computer anyhow. I am still here for a reason. I pray I
will do what He expects of me and do a good job. Well Done Roy. Nancy

You're purpose is definitely your poetry, but it's in service that all gifts will reap the true rewards, that's the hidden treasure of dreams Nancy, Jesus said it repeatedly, blessings Roy.

Well, Roy, I see you did it again....

Your author's notes are again a post in itself. It explains so much, and your Bible Scriptures fulfill it to a "T." But let us see what else your poem has to say about it....

In your first stanza, I love where you say that in spite of it all of our dreams and aspirations, that
"they're food for royal banquets"

...and going on to ask in the next stanza...
"how does my person fit?"
That's a great question for all of us to ponder.

Wow! Your entire next stanza is a whopper!

"So when our eyes are opened" (this line I especially love)
we see our path is clear.
Don't tremble at the door way
and say, "I'll wait a year." (Great line here. Procrastination is a curse although many of us do not see it until it is too late)

And where you say in your entire final stanza,

"So when we find our purpose,
and know what price to pay.
Remember through life's problems,
that God will find a way."

Not only a lovely poem, Roy, but also a timely one.
Thank your for sharing it.
Sincerely,
Nan:))

The true purpose of all gifts, and your a good writer, that is your desire, it certainly is your goal, to put it together, is to study where our heart lies and.as we learn we share and grow, you definitely have a purpose Nan and a Godly one, bless you for the wonderful review, Roy
