1.) (Matthew 7:22 (')Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?')

2.) There are many comforting verses which will build up such a (person's) faith

Thank you for sharing this piece. Though it seems our beliefs differ slightly, I do believe we agree on where true salvation is to be found. Thanks for sharing God's love and grace with others!

This is an interesting piece that carries a certain beauty to it. It is well written and nicely encourages us to not only be patient with those new to Christ but also leaves room to examine our own walk with the Lord. Good job and good luck.

I've often wondered how those that I see preaching who are so arrogant and demeaning of others can possibly be a true Christian. From what you say, they are not. I'm glad to hear that.

Indeed, God is far more gracious and loving then many of us who seek to be His messengers, yet none are to mistake those wonderful characteristics for weakness. He will keep His word to both believer and rebel alike. Thank you for reading and commenting, Dennis

It's Sunday morning. How appropriate for me to read this subject :) I've been sick with tooth pain and am behind in reviewing. I wasn't sure about your picture and title. I like your message, though. I may have lost faith in churches and people, but you are reaching me in good ways with your messages. Looking forward to your next post, my friend.

Thank you, Joy, and I hope you are feeling better now. It's good to have your own personal faith in Jesus and to keep on growing in our understanding of God through the scriptures.Sometimes a few bad experiences with churches or people can focus us more on Him , which is a good thing. :) God bless, Dennis

Well written, and clearly details the topic. As I so often say, and this supports, "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary". Do that and everything else just works out. But, how many people can not, or will not, do this one simply thing? Their loss.

Thanks Brett, I appreciate your sentiments (Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary". Do that and everything else just works out) but I must say in all candor, your position is a good beginning but leaves a lot of further truth out of the equation. All those other writings are God's truth as well and are not to be ignored by anyone. God bless you, Dennis

Hi Deniz, this is a wonderfully presented spiritual blog that puts up a good argument for letting the Lord into your life, I try to get back to where I was two years ago but It is very difficult to believe my friend.

Thanks Eric, I know you are still hurting but please consider its not just believing but rather WHO you are believing. Jesus Christ is completely trustworthy. You can believe what He said because He is the truth. Blessings my friend, Dennis

Thank you for this sermon! If that sounds sarcastic, it isn't!

This is an issue that is forever coming up in my life, as I was brought up in a 'grace +works' Christian cult, but came to know the true grace of God.
Thank you for strengthening my belief!

I always enjoy reading your posts proclaiming you faith and teaching others with the story. This is a perfect example. I continue to learn from your work.

I placed a story on the site today of how I became a Christian. Even though I was very young at the time, I have always felt God's hand in my life. Sometimes that hand guiding me comes from writings of people like you.

Blessings
Janet

This is a truly worthwhile essay that should be widely read. You have stated an important truth; that Christians need to be so careful not to discourage new believers by demanding a maturity from them that is not instantaneously available to them. I am so glad you've explained this vital truth so clearly. This sentence is perhaps the pivotal one in the entire piece: "Spiritual maturity in the Christian life is not instantaneous. It comes about by eating the right spiritual food..." I believe our role is to make sure the right food is available and that might include living a life of example, kindness, understanding, nurturing and love for the babes in Christ. You have a gift for explaining things succinctly and understandably. I appreciate that.

Thank you so much dear sister. I remember the pain I experienced as a new believer not knowing about the growth feature of the Christian life, so I try to be very plain in teaching to help others. There are many screaming at believers to produce works or die and I find that approach demeaning to the whole concept of grace. God bless you, Dennis

We need to realize that we cannot change people, only God can. We need to pray for them to find the leadership of the Holy spirit, and let God do the changing. Your point is beautifully presented with plenty of scripture to back it up. I love it. I wish I had a six to give you, it deserves it. Great hob. Have a great weekend and God bless, mike.
