This was a well written chapter. Filled with excitement and danger.
Oh, it sounds gruesome. I can just picture it. I wonder what they found in the back of the truck ... his legs? And what else? If it were drugs, I think they would be stolen. Perhaps it is more bodies? I'll have to find out next week.

I've heard of some awful sights when trailers are opened to be found full of dead decomposing bodies. Human trafficking bring into play some of the most hideous crimes. Great job of keeping us tuned in guessing. :-)

Hi, Barbara. Another fine chapter, although I still would start all over with the numbering system somehow. I cannot read Spanish and only know it is a new post. You have to wonder about nerw readers and what they must think. (I realize what Tom says, but still . . . .
Great images and dialogue as with all of your posts...like this:
"Your sense of humor is priceless." Jim chuckled. "I think we have time to see what's inside the semi. Then we might know how bad they want it." He fingered a large padlock on the trailer's back door.

This chapter was quite informative. I learned a lot about noted gangs, outside of the United States. I love dialogue. It makes the story move. And, can very well keep the reader's interest. However, there were times when I wasn't sure who was speaking.

This chapter was quite informative. I learned a lot about noted gangs, outside of the United States. I love dialogue. It makes the story move. And, can very well keep the reader's interest. However, there were times when I wasn't sure who was speaking.

Frankly this sort of account isn't fiction any longer, we've just had a truck with over seventy 'refugees' found - all dead. At least the police managed to find the driver and his controller after a trans-European police hunt. Both face life in prison. There is no way to counter these sort of gangsters except with lethal force. We have to wipe them from the human genepool and the face of the Earth.
