Dear Roy,
As you say life is full of tribulation, but if you want to endure all then follow Christ and give out love. Good rhyming in your poem.
Warm regards,
Winslow

I am not religious but there are truths in the bible that are undeniable. I see others who have different characteristics as gifts. We will not be able to accept ourselves until we accept others. Good poem and best wishes.

A deep poem with a timeless message.
I like the lines:
For if one's skies were always blue-
how could we read the false from true?
If our paths were paved with gold,
could we perceive compassion's fold?
It brings to light the everlasting need for duality. Also the need for one to experience pain and sacrifice in order to truly understand happiness and serenity.
The message about putting others first I also believe is an sacred and important one. Something that is becoming very lost in today's self centered society.
The last part is quite deep and profound, for it states that only after one has lived a life of righteousness, can he enjoy the true fruits heaven.
A wonderful piece. Best wishes to you.

I appreciate the sentiment in this poem. I love biblical tie-ins, and it is rare to find lately. The rhyme scheme was brilliant and the flow was without pause. Thank you for sharing.

You capture the essence of love as taught by Jesus in this sweet and wisdom studded poem. It's so true. How would we know know good from bad etc if we were always up and flying in the blue? You say the intention, the knowledge of values such as kindness and compassion have disappeared. I believe this is related to the notion that we've become so self interested and just don't notice others any more. You move on to say that the bible, Jesus will show us the way to a more loving soul and be that well spring from where our kindness, goodness and joy will emerge. Great work, Roy.

Life is indeed paved with trepidation, and how you treat others had better be the way you want them to treat you in kind. You never know when you may need them, or what you may need from them. Well written and clearly depicts the theme.

'Alo my Friend,
Good hearing from you again. Seems like when it's only a few says your name does not appear in the le up, it's mant

Your poem certainly captured the truths of Jesus' exhortation about "preferring one higher than yourself _Philp. 2:3 which
is not easy, "for n man yet hated his own self Eph. 5:29
The Lord bless yourichly in very way

Very good poem my friend with good word flow, and rhyming. It tells of how God's word tells us to live. A very needed message in a world of hate and despair.
