Another love gone wrong song. I think you do a very good job writing country music lyrics and love poems. It reminds me of the many times I used the train, since I don't own a car. Well done!

Waiting is a psychological torture. Be it in the bus stop for Greyhound or one's gal and that too in the bus stop. You have expressed your feelings very well. If the gal is not coming back by morning, who is going to take the blame first? Of course, Greyhound!

Bret, you sure have a lot o girl friend problems!
I think if you took a shower more than once month and changed you underwear more than once a a week, you might be able to hold on to one of those gals you write about.

One of the funniest songs Roy Clark sings was about a Grey Hound bus taking his girl away "Thank God for Greyhound"

A very creative love poem. I do understand misplaced anger and why not blame the Greyhound bus? At one time I was angry with JFK for years for something my husband did. Haha. Vivid imagery and an enjoyable read. Well done.

I enjoyed reading your Free Style love poem. It flows well with emotion and your artwork choice is great. It enhances your poem. Your last two paragraphs are sad, but I like them the best.

Hi Brett,
I love the series of events
that the main character questions
in this read. I'm a big fan of the greyhound because
I used to take it for school a few years ago.
This poem has great cadence and
a solid rhythmic style.Nice work!

This flowed so incredibly well. Not a single part of this poem was awkward or nonsensical, and the imagery you created was so vivid and wonderful. You did an amazing job writing this poem, well done.

Slammed this one. Finding all sorts of goodness to me captivating and thrilling in its read. I will confess certain line enhancements might make this effort excel in my opinion.

I know you try a lot of different formats, but this is where you really shine. You go tell that bus what for! Great story line, one that country music lovers will go for. Excellent rhyme and flow with your AABB rhyme. You create a lot of atmosphere and feeling in the poem. Bus stations are not the ideal places to wait (the ones I know of, anyway). The buses are likely to be unpredictable about their schedules--kind of like the gal in the poem. Great work with this, and six stars while I have 'em. Happy trails. judi
