This chapter read well, no spags spotted. It seems that Anthony admires Alisha, but is courteous enough to allow her to go to bed without attempting to seduce her. Michael has been invited to play a game of poker, but Anthony has an uneasy feeling about it.

Michael has left to join his game, they had earlier discussed Anthony's portfolio of rental properties which keeps him solvent! Anthony sends him off with Ricky, Alycia and he are left behind to finish their port, Anthony is drawn to her, and he thought she was drawn to him, if she hadn't been married he may have tried something. Michael has left to join his game, they had earlier discussed Anthony's portfolio of rental properties which keeps him solvent! Anthony sends him off with Ricky, Alycia and he are left behind to finish their port, Anthony is drawn to her, and he thought she was drawn to him, if she hadn't been married he may have tried something. Well done, Alexis, blessings, Roy.

He is a gentleman, if nothing else. I think he's in for a few surprises with Michael though, because he is not! UP to my eyes since I got back from France, But I'll hopefully get another chapter posted this week. Alexis xxx

I'm up to me eyes trying to get this &*%$*£ film script finished for a presentation later this month, so poor old Anthony is up the creek without a paddle for now! Hope all is going while since you got back. Alexis xxx

That makes two of us! I'm working flat out trying to get this film script finished for a couple of meetings later this month, so poor old Anthony is on hold for a wee bit longer! At least I now have reasonable internet connection! Alexis xxx

I had hardly any internet during my last few days in France, and I've been working flat out since I got back trying to get the film script done for meetings later this month. This will be not so much a review as a few thoughts that have occurred to me as I was reading. I seem to rmember, in an earlier chapter, that it was made clear that Michael and Alisha were anxious not to reveal to Anthony the dire starights they were in. And yet, in this chapter, they are being remarkably frank about it.
The converstaion about Anthony's earnings and his portfolio felt almost like an inquisition, although Anthony didn't seem to mind.
As someone who spent twenty years living on a boat (albeit, nothing like so grand as Anthony's -- canal narrowboat style), I can tell you that it is not particularly cheap to maintain, and a lot more corrosion takes place in sea water.
As I understand it, in the UK at any rate, rental income is normally less than motgage repayments, agency fees and maintenance. It depends what percentage of the property value was borrowed, of course. But perhaps it's different in Italy.
I find myself wondering if Anthony and Ricky are an item. Perhaps that was a factor in Anthony's divorce. Now there's a thought!
Typos/SPAGs. (Square brackets indicate suggested deletions, and asterisks, suggested insertions):
'Does it cost a lot to get started?' (Insert closing quote mark after 'started?').
'Anthony started to help himself to Pasta [after Alisha finished and passed him the bowl]' ('after Alisha... feels like an over-fussy detail, bearing in mind that Alisha had already helped herself in the previous paragraph. In fact, come to think of it, I believe the whole sentence could be deleted -- most readers would probably not be interested in the group's table-manners).
'and we can use the sails if we need to [preserve] *conserve* fuel'

As always, your review was full of excellent ideas and suggestions, Adrian. Glad to say my daughter lets a flat out for a few hundred more than the cost of the mortgage, but only because she bought at the right time. I wish I'd done that! Now working flat out on the film script for meetings later this month, so I think Anthony's going to be neglected for a little while! Alexis xxx

A good solid chapter, Alexis. In the back of my mind, I keep wondering if this is going to be an Indecent Proposal type thing or if Alisha is going to seduce him, while Michael robs him blind. Can't wait to find out more clues in the next one.
