Good evening Michael,

As you know,I haven't been on the site much lately to review. I realize I must take advantage of giving out my sixes for the week. Your poem is first.

This is a wonderful tribute to an exceptional writer and a strong woman.

I have been a fan of Ingrid for a very long time and though I have not reviewed her latest works, I have read them and I gave caught many of your reference points to her story.

She truly has an admirer in you and I must say, I admire her too. Greatly. I read her bio and reflect on mine and realize I could never hold a candle to her strength, her balls, her fierceness, and her fortitude.

For you to dedicate this to all women is quite generous on your part. I know there are women of all races, size and education level whom have changed the landscape of the world and atmosphere of a woman's place and abilities. Women whom have taken ashes and painted an exquisite charcoal sketch of real life and its challenges. But there are just as many out there whom I would like to shake the marbles from their brains.

Your choice of music is exceptional and relational to your work. Your arrangement of lines and careful placement of words serve the strength and dignity of this work well.

Your poetry brings with it a newness and effervescence to a new generation and form of poetry. Free form expression and or free writing is what I term your style of work. It's often appears to be an assimilation of conscious streaming channeled through blood, sweat and tears. Truly expressive, unique, and unmatched.

I hope Ingrid finds this work, for it is truly a heartfelt dedication to her and her talent. To say honorable is not enough, for, personally, I know how busy you are away from fanstory and to find time to give your loyal and encouraging support to another writer is not only generous but truly altruistic.

Beautiful work my wonderful friend. Absolutely, undeniably, and wholeheartedly.

Much love to you and yours.
Jimi

ah well its better anyway I think...way better. Hello you Beautiful Woman...-smile-...Yes, quite a remarkable story is hers. I don't read a lot of stories...but I remember her from when I first came, so I guess I was drawn to know more...I'm glad I did, I feel like I know her lil' better now. Quite a personal story told with great strength of honesty. But you've reading along and I know you can relate to a lot of the ah negative air toward women in some cases and places at that time...more than I could ever understand completely...being of the male species. -smile- thank you Linda ...love you Michael

it is remarkable Michael...but sad as it is ...she doesn't stand alone... been on that side myself...my boss made me feel like we go out... I may lose my job...but his wife and I were good friends...and yes I did enlighten her...he never asked again...and never seem mad...I guess he felt he gave it a try...and it didn't work...but from what I know...they are still together...you are always so welcome you...talk at ya soon...love ya back...xxoo

Hey Michael/ great to review your work once again and be back on the scene. Women can be the life or death of you. This Viking has had his share lately of the nefarious kind. Dig the McD metaphor and the kings - blondes reference. It works well as always.

GREAT ONE!

Hi, I have to respectfully admit that I could not understand the meaning of your poem. The sentence structure of your poem as far as rhythm was uneven; the words of which I could not understand the message. What's with the mustard seed? You need to explain and show this. You might want to check your video. When I clicked to play it in the hopes of understanding your message, the prompt read that it was unavailable. Take care and cheers.

I like your dedication to women. I find the first stanza funny for some reason. The video is good, I've never heard Beth Heart before, she is a cool singer. Well done!

author notes, check it out -....dedicated to all woman (women)...

well thank you, I have always had a great respect and admiration for women. hm...funny...so did slave owners at one time. Thanks...I heard the song a while ago, reading Ingrid reminded me of it...-smile- yes Beth Hart...she's a song writer, and a heck of a blues singer. I watched an interview with her...where she says once people would say why don't you write uplifting lyrics, why always so real....and she said she had to think about it for a long time...and realized her writing was her prayers. -headtilt-...anyway its yours now....love Michael

Hello, Reconciled,

Having just lately met you in the forums, I though I ough to see what you write. I have to be honest, I'm not a poetry expert, so this isn't going to be a dazzling review filled with pearls of wisdom, but here's my two pence, for what it is worth:

I liked the strength of the opening, 'Kings against dumb blonds'. A powerful starting line. Some great word-play - 'mustered seed'. 'Sit back down stares audience', is a good bit of imagery for what happens when the 'dumb blond' speaks to an audience of 'kings'. I'm assuming I have understood correctly here, in that this refers to women fighting to be heard in the workplace?

Anyway, like I said, not the best person on poetry, but I liked it. Nice style.

Hi Sarkems...-smile-...yes and I'm happy to have met you. Oh don't worry about people love to give a hard time and Ed sixes...-shouldershrug-...I'm used to it.

Really I wrote this for Ingrid...I don't think she thinks I respect her...but I do. Her book...and I hate this part..."ball busters"...is a sort of docu-account of her life and the woman's movement in general. Its a great story that I recommend worth the read...-smile-...well "dumb blond" I use because it was the sentiment that surrounded her and I suppose all women who dared to step out of the kitchen at that time. yes...you've basically got the gist....but the best parts in her book...-wink-...thank you so much for stopping by....love Michael

Excellent artwork that complements your poem perfectly. I smiled about blonds versus kings, and the MacDonald. A lovely written free verse for all women and specially Spiritual Echo.
