I can see why you are ranked at the number three spot in poetry. This post is so easy to read and carries a message that holds true for most everyone. Those tangible things we valued when younger, don't mean nearly as much as a family and friends, to love.

Fantastic rhyming quatrains.

This is a wonderfully written poem, AGE BECOMES ME I love the sentiments of the poem and can relate to it big time. I believe this is from your heart, rather than your poet's pen,

Well done
Mary

This is a terrific calming poem about the inevitable journey of life drawing near the finish line. Aging is a bit of an anxiety builder for me because I just cannot see myself as being done. Done enough to be able to just sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride, I have too much to do and I hate missing out on anything. Hopefully, at some point in the way future, I will remember your peacefulness and I will allow myself to just sit back.
This is beautifully written, as all of your writing is. Best wishes to you, and thank you

I could relate so much to this poem and could place my name on it as reflection of my own life. it rhymed so well with the the descriptive words. And yes for me, Sir my soul made whole I have the promise of a new and glorified body. I beleive you done well with age.

It's not money, but what's within. The Beatles sang, "All You Need Is Love" and they were right. Age, in this case educates one to be a better, as you've learned from your mistakes to be a better person. Wonderful rhyming. It's the message here that really counts. Well done! Les

"Celestial river, so deep the flow,
It feeds my soul my spirit's glow,
This fire within cannot be quenched,
Nor feet be moved, from God be wrenched".
I think it reflects that even when we age of body our fire and soul shall not be drown. This an encouraging peruse

I couldn't write a good poem if my life depended on but I do know one when I see it. I enjoyed the read.
Thank you for sharing.

A nice poem to express the contentment that comes with realising the things that are truly important in life - not material goods (your stanza 4) but things of the heart, and especially your strong religious faith which provides a base for everything else.

I particularly enjoyed stanza 3 - turbid youth, tattered dreams, maze of truth - all excellent expressionss.

Age becomes me, an excellent title, and first line, it sets the tone for this well written poem.

As I get older, I realize that age is just a number, and perhaps because of that I am content for that number to increase each year.

Thank you you sharing.

The first stanza here is very powerful. The speaker is clearly content with their life and welcomes the after life...if that is what the Lord has in store. Great job.
