HAHAHAHA - I laughed out loud from, "You know him don't you?...right through to when the three of them laughed. As I told you the last time, Kuruk (grandfather) is my favourite character, and that scene was so realistic and typical!!!

What a great chapter again. I'm behind, so I'll rush on to read the next one.

I have not read the previous chapters, but this seems interesting, easy to read and flowed well.
I'm from the North East and Lyme Disease is very common so I'll give you a tip. This prescription of IV anti-biotics for fourteen to twenty-eight days, is extreme. I mean really extreme, and I'll tell you why. If you can see the bulls eye rash, that means he just got it. It doesn't even show up in the blood stream for two to three weeks, so that bruise would have to be fading. It can cause those kind of symptoms, rapid hear beat, but only after it has gone undetected for about a year or more. It is far more likely for him to start getting joint-pain at this point, like his knees just going out on him for no reason. And he may be treated with an IV, that day but he would go home with mega doses of anti-biotics for the month. The main thing is, they would never give him an IV for two weeks to a month. They just don't keep you in the hospital that long.

I and my husband have both had it. The worse case I've seen was my best friend's son. At the age of nine, he just sat down half way up the stairs and said he couldn't go any further. Extreme Exhaustion. That was after about a year of not being diagnosed. Even then they just gave him anti-biotics in a pill form.
Hope this is helpful and good luck with school next week. : ) I too start back but isn't it glorious to have the summers off?

What is that Miguel Sanchez up to now? I can't believe he had the nerve to show up at the hospital.
Jim's right about not leaving Soni alone with and Miguel.
And what of Kuruk with this strange disease? All kinds of things are happening to him. Wonder where he contracted that Lyme Disease?
Another interesting chapter leaving us guessing what Miguel is up to.
Frankly, I think it's time they put him away, he's a born trouble maker.

Dammit. Miguel comes into the picture? And he says he just saw Kurik? I can understand Jim's concern. There's the chance he did Kurik harm, and the chance he wouldn't be friendly to Soni. Good cliff-hanger. It kinda makes everything came came before Miguel moot, but its a good way to end the chapter. Nice job.

Hi Barbara, I enjoyed the format of your story which made the flow run well. I'm wondering why Jim doesn't want to leave Soni alone with Miguel. Guess, I'll have to read the book. I liked how you establish that the story takes place in Texas right on the I-35. That's neat. I think the premise for the book will be a hit. Take care and cheers.

The story is taking off to a new height, what with Miguel appearing on the scene and I believe not with the best of intention. I hope he hasn't harmed Kuruk. We'll see. A good read which I enjoyed. Ulla

5th last line: Miguel stepped from room.?
I'm still enjoying the story, especially the finer points of the romance, like Jim noticing Soni's hair. The hospital scenes are very realistic, Giddy

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

The focus is the presents of Miguel Sanchez. The storyline development Jim stops to tell Soni what Kuruk's diagnosis is. He has Lyme Disease very rare in Texas. That he'll have to be on IV antibiotic's. Soni says he wouldn't take them but Jim says he agrees to take it plus his herbs. As Jim and Soni head to Kuruk's room they see Miguel Sanchez coming from his room. He tells Soni that he had come to see Kuruk and Soni. Jim starts to enter the room but refuses to leave Soni with Miguel.
The hook has Miguel killed Kuruk and Soni is next?
The dialog show the continual development of the characters. The narration shows action Miguel reaching into his pocket, for what one of Kuruk's knifes.
The emotion felt distrust of Miguel who may have killed the men on El Capiton.
Keep on writing.

Barbara, have a great week and weekend.
