Aw, this is a heartwarming story Gunner. It would be nice to have a big brother to take care of one like that.
And you've got all the necessary elements of a short story inside a 100 word dash, so congratulations to you.
Nice work!

Hi there,
I liked the story and how you managed to tell it in just a few words as required by the contest.
I could connect with the characters and found it a cute story. Good luck.

You nailed it in 100 words. I liked that your story came to a positive end. You could have went anywhere with this. Your story goes well with the photo.
Please keep writing. I will be looking forward to future offerings from you.

This meets the contest requirements splendidly with a correct word count. This is a delightfully uplifting tale and extremely well penned. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Oh, this is sweet. Everybody wants a kid sister or a dashing big brother like this to make a family. You set up the narrative very well, describe the emotional aspect of the child really well, and conclude with a satisfying resolution. Good work in 100 words. Best of luck.

As it should be--brother looking after little sister. She'll be there for him, too, as they travel through life. A nice story.

Bruce is certainly the exception when it comes to big brothers and they ways in which they like to taunt and tease their baby sisters when they see them crying. With my son, who is four years his sister's senior, it was always something like, "Whassamadder, ya big baby? Did its poor wittle ball go bye-bye, hee-hee?"
That being said, it's nice to know there are some children out there who actually look out for each other.
Well done, and way to go, Bruce!
Good luck in the contest... ~Dean

I wondered how the big brother got hold of her ball so he could give it back to her.
I haven't counted the words but I assume that your story complies with the 100 word limit.
Good luck with the comp.

Big brother and little sister seem to make the perfect pair. She looks up to him, and he doesn't mind being her 'hero'.
I was afraid she'd climb the fence and go after the ball. What a relief when she didn't.
Good luck in the contest.
