Every word you've written is timely and so true. So many wasted lives. I raised three boys and in their twenties now. So far so good. I had to do it as a sole parent and concentrated on kindness and compassion, They are all good boys, give no trouble, don't look for it, and I'm so proud of them. What I do worry about is what they face out in the world. So much drug and alcohol abuse and violence in our youth. "Ice" is becoming the new devil's advocate here in Australia. Even from good homes, they just have to make one bad decision and they're lost. I wish I had the answer. You deliver a great message ... if only one youth 'got it' ... then you've made a difference. Excellent rhyme and rhythm. The title is so apt ... so many on the streets just like this.
"Do not trust the devil
The father of the lie
He'll pull you to the ground
And never let you fly" -- some excellent phrasing throughout, yet in simple language which I feel could speak out to the youth. Well done and thank you for creating awareness ... each compassionate cry for kindness is heard. Warm Regards - Lovi xoxo

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review comments. I swear for the life of, I do not understand how a man can participate in the conception of a man child and then not do everything within his power to be a good husband, father and role model so that his son is able to grow to manhood and hopefully duplicate that action with his son. I was raised by my mother after my father abandoned us to go off and remarry and have life separate from us.

LoveLinda I thank you so much for your wonderful comments. It is heart breaking to see so many young ones, the girls as well as the boys, walking headlong into disastrous situations for lack of the sense to listen to those who love them and want only the best for them.

I know teenagers have brains that are not quite fully developed and that makes an enormous error in judgement so life-threatening. "Dead Man Walking" is one of the saddest phrases in the world. Interesting pen name. Thank you so much for your heartfelt comments. It is indeed a heartbreak to see so many lives ruined by the evil one, who hates everything that God loves. Unfortunately most of the young don't even want to have that conversation.

Beautifully done! Such a great message. Great description of today's generation. We don't have time to play these games with Satan and they just don't understand. They are invincible in their own minds and when the choice of good and evil is put before them, they so often choose the easy way out. Great work!

Thanks Eric. Your review contains all the things that I think and feel as well. It is encouraging to find so many people who think and feel as I do about the dangers facing our kids these days. Sadly they are too self absorbed to even notice.

Well stated, Nomi. Essentially that's all an unsaved soul is--a dead man walking (or woman, to remain politically correct). We are born into sin since the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden. Parents have their children's best interests at heart, for the most part. At least parents who care certainly do. The problem is that so many youth are having children out of wedlock, and many of them don't care much about themselves, their futures or anyone elses, let alone a child's. So where does that leave the little girl, or boy?
In a very bad spot, that's where.

But very often such a youth comes from an unstable home and he hasn't been taught the right rules. Those parents ought to be punished, too-then it isn't the kid's fault. nomi, a good reminder to young people. There are so
many that do lose their way. I did prison ministry
for about 17 years so I have seen many that I wondered
how they got on that wrong path.

Unfortunately far too many young men, and young women, go through a time when they think they are old enough to make their own decisions, and make bad ones. By the time they outgrow it they may have made too many wrong turns and their whole lives, and those of many others, are ruined.
