All those roses sound like signs of your mother's love. She is still watching over you and making sure you are safe. I bet the kids in your class loved that your were willing to share such a personal and special part of yourself with them. Something like that means more than any lesson.

That's the truth, dear friend. Some teachers keep their lives private, but I do think there are adult experiences that can help teenagers. Appreciate that you're taking the time to catch up. :-)

Hi Shari dear,

I just love, love, loved the rose story. What a lovely way to deal with grief and have peace in the midst of sorrow.

As for the concluding line ... oh, no - not again! Siblings ...

Smiles,

Sonali xxx

Wow! You changed your name. So glad you're back to update on Harold's dreadful wife. Yes, I think having a form of communication in place goes a long way in helping us grieve.

Sorry i am behind in my reviews. Had a houseful of company this past week. I was so happy to see all the signs from your mom. I know they were a comfort to you.

I enjoy reading these chapters. They display the raw and soft side of family politics and how we chose to deal with them. Some people take a knife and cut families ties off forever, you've chosen not to. After that slap, I don't know(including myself) how many people wouldn't have written their sister off.

I do believe in coincidences. I see it as the universe trying to speak to you. Enjoying reading your writing as always.

I like that. The universe speaking to us. It's happened to me at least three times, one of which saved my life!

G'day Shari. I don't believe in coincidence either, things always happen for a reason. This is another great chapter my friend with many fond memories in it. Well done, see ya on the next one. Cheers Fez

You were correct the tissue box was close at hand after and during the reading of this chapter. Do I believe in signs? I most certainly do. It gave me much joy that even in death your connection with your Mom has not been broken. Great read.

Thanks, Leen. I had to get out the word on this. Hubby and I have a signal too.

Gone but never forgotten. And, yes, it is possible to receive signs from dearly departed ones. Well written story depicting this theme very nicely.

Hmm, well, it's a well written chapter and interesting. I'll have to admit, I'm a little skeptical. Because, I'm wondering how much of this was you, on a unconscious level, looking for a sign. Just like when you start thinking about something, and you start seeing it everywhere. I won't say it's impossible, but I'm a little hesitant to take it at face-value. I will remain open to the possibilities, though. Still good stuff there, Spitfire.

Ha,ha. How did I know you'd be skeptical. Living in all that cold. To a certain point, you may be right. Signs have happened to me on two other occasions when I was in a stressful signature. If I had ignored one, I might have died from cancer years ago.

Good episode, and I imagine all those roses were of great comfort to you. So now your sisters are going to be a problem. This should be good. :)

Well, I guess this sort of thing happens in a lot of families-sibling rivalry. Why can't we all just get along? LOL

Then Thanksgiving dinner would be boring. :)

The whole world would be. There's something to be said for learning how to cope with adversity.
