This is an entertaining and rhythmic conjecture on the possible powers you dream of and how you would use them. Your devotion is obvious here, and I envy you your great faith.

I love everything about this poem! The rhythm and pacing is evident from the first stanza. It is easy to read, but very deep in images. I can completely picture doing all the things the speaker wants to do in this poem. Amazing job, with some tweaking, these images would make for a wonderful children's book.

There are those moments when it does feel like we do capture those moon beams. But if we did, would they remain beautiful? Probably not. Gems come in the digging, the reaching, the beams beautiful because we do not have a perfect reach. But creation does. Excellent poem!

Absolutely magical as it flows down to the final step of divinity and our paltry comparison. How very beautiful in words and sentiment.

Beautifully rendered poem. This is my favorite one that you have written and that I have read for a long time. I love the rhyme and rhythm. I will be bookcasing this one. Thank you for sharing.

royowen's meter and scansion are flawless; this poet knows how to control the format of his material. The theme of his poem is wishful thinking that ultimately is shown to be idle -- idol? -- speculation; for only God is capable of this catalog of miracles. My problem is with phrases like " ... moonlight beams/paved with gold that catch love's dreams." How can lunar beams be paved? Mixed metaphors should be used sparingly, and judiciously. Or: "if I could sew those worthwhile dreams/on golden looms ..." Again, we see badly mixed images/metaphors: Cloth is woven on looms; it is not sewn. I speak as an ex-textile-worker on this point.

In any case: royowen's poetry flows off the tongue, and many of his images are lovely and delightful to the imagination. Four stars.

Another perfectly written poem full of love for your creator, Roy.

If I, a scribe, wrote words like gems
I'd capture light with silver stems.

Yes, I think you just did!

What a beautiful picture you create with the feel and imagery of your words. I am inspired when I read your work yet this one touched me in a special way. Hope in things that seem impossible- not always easy.
"...worthwhile dreams," really took grip of my heart. Sometimes we just need to differentiate what is, "worthwhile."

What beautiful images are contained in this highly polished verse. I tried to choose a favorite stanza, but each deserved special recognition. The first one simpy makes the reader hungry for more.

That's very lovely. You have added so many visuals to your words that it is almost like watching a picture show. The soft tone seems full of wonder and your art choice encapsulates the dreamy quality of your words.
