The grass may be greener on the other side. Problem is you gotta mow that too! Great poem about cheaters that I think most will relate to.

Hi, Brett....

_ Indeed, my 'ex' had many 'One Night Stands.'
_ Excellent write.
_ Momentary satisfaction---pretty rough payoff to lose one's family. Yet it happens all the time.
_ If you're single, go for it---whole new ballgame! (*<*)

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'... Jax (*:*)

Great work, this. The cheating heart always makes a compelling story or song. Your use of the night stand works well in this. She doesn't seem very good at covering up her cheating. Maybe she wanted her husband to find out. Hubby makes it clear he's not going to forgive and forget. Excellent rhyme in this, and it strikes just the note you're aiming for. You can tell the guy is speaking from the heart. Wonder if the situation had been reversed, if the guy would expect to be forgiven for his one-night stand? Happy trails. judi

This sounds very much like a country song, the lyrics are familiar. Well done, the lyrics/work is quite smooth the story is probably common to a lot of the country genre. Written in articulate, descriptive language, in well metered open verse, a nice smooth delivery, well done, blessings, Roy.

A sad little poem. She has moved on but still wants a piece of him. He is still in love with her and can't let go. What a situation ! A well written poem.
