Hard not to mention the adorable cat picture first - the grey on its side looks like a heart:). But on to your well written senryu, I like the use of spine here to mean your actual backbone, and maybe the other meaning of standing up for yourself.

I love this. But, the Senryu police would have a field day. A Senryu is usually ironic or satirical regarding human nature. Just like haiku in format. And a satori (moment of reflection, aha)

Senryu that is less than 17 syllables. Your poem reflects the fright or chill of a cat that arches its back. It is a simple and direct statement that made me smile. I do say, however, that without the picture, I am unable to visualize your poem because it lacks concrete imagery. Your poem, however, works very well with your selected photo. Thank you for sharing.
