love is...what we chose to in our opportunity. yes each life leaves legacy that is eternal and according to our Creator only those acts of agape love hold any lasting weight in worth. Hope your okay...give Linda a hug for me....love Michael

Love is us... You understand the meaning of love better than the majority, Michael. Love is a perseption of what we do for each other, for how we regard our neighbour; love is giving of yourself without thinking of consequences, love is being there when you are needed the most. God gave us this emotion to do good with, to feel and to give us the strength to go on when the going is hard. God has given this to all of us, and now Brooke is using this strength to fight. She is struggling with speach. She understands everything but cannot say what she want to say, the words won't 'come out' just the basic words. She can't use a computer...yet. Love and prayers are the healing grace she needs, and I believe she is getting that by the ton. Love always plays the biggest part of anything. Love is us... You are so right. I'll always love you, my dear friend. xsx Sandra

ah do I...? I know I've examined it...studied different peoples perception or definition. You know how every once in a while you see, hear...witness something so large you just stand still trying to understand something you know you already do...circling in some kind of de ja vu mirage you once physically touched. the truth is we all know...but big love requires sacrifice...no getting around it. So we practice some other....but when we see it, every once in a while...we know it as the purest form of love...awe consuming beautiful. Even if you get mad at me...I pray you never take that back...love you too...-smile-...Michael

There is no way I would ever be angry with you, Michael, there is a place in my heart that is yours, and nothing and no one can remove you. We have shared too much for that to happen. I remember the night I was at my mothers and I couldn't sleep, I wrote a poem about how sad I was feeling and you came back to me, we 'talked' for a long time. I remember I was able to go to sleep afterwards. My mother and I were so close, I still miss her, but I have more than my fair share of love from my sons, and you my friend. xxx

I agree that life is a mystery and we can decide how we can use it. I do understand love and the Holy grail. They are most precious in man and God's eyes.

Hi Diane....-smile-...I don't know that I ever have a set focus...I just write what I feel in the moment. As I've said numerous times...I believe poetry...music...even art...can and does have different meaning for different individuals. what I was thinking here...in first stanza....love is certain...we know when we love something. the second...is love.
the third is ultimate love...the fourth is humans transforming into the best Jesus they can be...the finale...is understanding your only reason for being...that's where my head was...but again this could be interpreted as written for a selfish love. I don't mean that in a bad way...love is coveted and should be protected...-smile- alright Kid...thanks....love Michael

Hi Pam...no...um its when you , once when I was in jr high, it was lunch time and girl was standing in line, she was wearing white and started her period...one kid noticed and soon half the lunchroom was laughing at her...but one kid got up and went to her and gently whispered warning, while covering her with his shirt and leading her out...that's love. truthfully I've been thinking about Brooke...and wanting to do something to make her proud of us . honor her in some way. anyway, glad you liked it kid.....love Michael

How lovely, I was just considering how words about love can never end. You in particular write of love and romance in so many varied directions.
Your last verse makes your poem totally complete:
"love is life worshipping in the glory of morning
cart wheeling the gift
love is us" - simply elegant and so eloquent. I love "cart wheeling the gift" ... of course "love is us".
Excellent alliteration and love this phrasing: "human beings stretching forth to bloom".
You always bloom "in the glory of the morning". Love ya. Huge hugs - Lovi xoxo
