Nice haiku about winter and water. Your haiku has two interconnected lines and a satori line about winter, the kigo. Good job and good luck with your entry.

This is an outstanding Haiku, done in classic Japanese 5-7-5 format. But it's the imagery of tapestry and loom weaved by God's hands that are so inspirational. Knowing the complexity of snowflake patterns, you juxtaposed it in perfect metaphor. Well done!

Beautiful imagery in your haiku, Greg. I like the thought of the flakes just slipping into the scene, and your aha is an interesting abstract line that brings together a loom and the winter tapestry. Best wishes in the contest.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Interesting imagery, I am not fond of winter or snow, but it is definitely very pretty to look at! Well chosen words and lovely illustration. Good luck in the contest. faye

Excellent and beautiful photo that complements your little poem perfectly. It is a true Haiku, dot on syllable count. One tip: I'd suggest centring it as that is usually done for better layout. Best wishes for the contest.

This is a strong haiku, filled with vivid imagery (jagged snowflakes catching in the arbor's tapestry) and the final line which is beautiful... to think of God's giant loom weaving the winter scenes which I truly love and enjoy... I'd have to say this is a delightful and memorable haiku. I wish you well in this contest. MM

Looks like a winner to me, Greg. I can fell and see the landscape as you describe it so well. It's amazing when we consider that no two snowflakes are alike. The wonder of nature, eh? Good job, my friend. I hope you win the contest. Bob

Hey Bob! I literally was just looking at your message. Whew, I've been so busy. I just try to jot a quick thing down and then hop off. But I'm on tonight my friend so your page is first. Thank you for this vote of confidence too Bob.

Delightful use of word imagery in this Haiku poem. Very succinct use of words. I really loved " in arbour's chilled tapestry"
The artwork is perfect for your work.

The words and the picture paint a picturesque picture of a winters tale and the icicles hanging on the porches roof like Christmas decorations. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.
