This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of work. Homemade buns and bread taste so much nicer. That is beautiful.

I agree that homemade bread and buns are better. Maybe it's the wonderful aroma filling the house. Thank you for the encouraging comments about the writing. Debi

Thank you for the kind comments, Benny Beeharry. I am flattered that you can picture the dough rising and turning golden. Here's hoping that there are some hot rolls in your future.

Excellent. I can't write a poem going one way, no less writing one so it can be read forward and backwards. That's crazy...

Nicely done. John

A poem about delicious homemade rolls.
Wow! This palindrome of a poem, I am hearing for the first time and it dusted my mind this Sunday morning.

I love to read poetry
Poetry read to love I

I hope I got it.

Thanks for a real work of art.

A well crafted poem, my friend. I tried to write one of these once. It made me dizzy and the room was spinning as I wrote it. My reviews were horrible. Perhaps I should leave this form to talented poets such as you. Best wishes in the contest~Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. I've tried this more than once and usually give up, but for some reason this one held my interest. Maybe it was the hot rolls the neighbor delivered. Thank you for the kind comments and good wishes. I appreciate it. Debi

This is an interesting style of writing a poem that I had never heard of. You've done well in making this work with your culinary poem.

You made me hungry, even though I'm gluten free! I enjoyed your emphasis on "yummy" with its repeat. I have only read one other entry in this contest and learned from it how hard this form can be to manage. Well done! Best wishes in the competition and happy Fourth- Joan

Thank you for the encouraging review and good wishes. I hope you can find a good gluten free substitute for your hunger. My neighbor is gluten free so I know that can be a struggle. Thank you for pointing out what you liked. It helps to know what works.

It gets easier all the time with the many rice, corn and other grain alternatives available. I hope you create more palindromes--you appear to have a knack for the form. Smiles- Joan

I only heard about the palindrome poem because of a contest that FS ran last year. I've tried to write one a few time and usually give up because I have trouble forming phrases that sound good both backwards and forwards. Thank you for the encouraging review for this one.

Thank you, Jax. It did take a bit of thinking. Although it was inspired by some yummy rolls that a neighbor dropped by so a few phrases kind of jumped out at me. Luckily, they worked backwards. Now cinnamon rolls are some of my favorite. I might have to go either make some or drop by the local bakery. They make some great old fashioned ones.

Thank you for encouraging comments about the writing and the good luck wishes. The contest deadline is in December so I'll likely forget I even entered. I had to try a palindrome once though that may be enough.
