The affliction -- the freedom from the chains of the affliction, poured out in poetic form. Indeed depression is rampant and it reaches beyond the afflicted to those who love them.

I love this piece. Your words paint a beautiful picture of the glory that surrounds us everyday. Iove nature and the sense of hope it brings.

Mankind seems to have a lot of faith in unseen things. Put his trust into things that have no real teeth. But that is just a passing thought your poem put into my mind. I found this poem to be well written in form and format. It flows well within its thoughts. I enjoyed reading it... John

Hello Roy,
Thought provoking nice piece of poetry beautifully depicting its theme!
Wording is impressive.
Smooth and captivating flow with lovely rhyming scheme and lively imagery.
These lines are particularly noteworthy:
"I know in darkness God can see,
and always He remains with me,
I'll close my eyes so I perceive,
He'll not desert me, never leave."

Hi, Roy...
_ The pit of depression. I know it all too well.
_ It's a place to never want to be, and always it beckons, just right around the corner.
_ Mine occurred when I was going through a divorce, and at the same time, my youngest son did something that forever changed 'many' lives.
_ I know God says for us to forgive, but God will have to forgive this one--I cannot.
_ He wasn't raised to live the life he has chosen--I won't be a part of it.
_ Not a day goes by that the pit of depression doesn't try to pull me in. It's a horrible place to be, and then once one comes out of it---always it calls to me.
_ I've written about it, thought I try to not go there too often.
_ Nice work with this one, my friend.
Cheers & Blessings

I have worked with it in the ministry. It takes fasting and prayer to really get it done. I was asked once to visit an area in New Mexico where some teens were committing suicide. Casting out legions of demons takes much dedicated prayer life allowing Christ to lead. All spiritual. A good one, Bro. Blessings It works.
