Almost slipped with a six. I wonder how long your poetry will be here for us to enjoy? It may be good to have it still available to agents and publishers == if you see this. :P

It'll be here long after I am dead and gone, Ras.
I am an Eternal Flame Member of this site which means my writing will be available until FanStory no longer exists.
Thanks again for reading.

YIKES> (I think I know her. LOL) As always, I am not at all surprised you won with this scary poem, Dean - I intentionally took a different approach, even though I figured there would be a lot who took the prompt into the horror genre. Mine made a decent showing, I think (I don't remember well) but this is a well-earned win, IMO.
Congrats - it's great!

Comment from Linda Engel
So who wrote the book of Revelations? and Is it the fornication that is the sin or the woman whose intent it is to devour and disgrace for her own satisfaction because she wants sex for the sake of sex without any feeling or regard? And yet men keep lusting after this type of woman.

The apostle John of Patmos was thought to be the main contributing author to the Book of Revelations, Linda. However, the assumption that the apostle John was indeed the author of the Book is now widely rejected in modern critical scholarship. The early Christian writer, Papias, appeared in his writings to distinguish between John the Evangelist and John the Elder, and many biblical scholars now contend that the latter was the author of Revelation.
You are absolutely correct, time and time again, many men keep turning to this sort of woman in hopes of finding love. In reality, it's simply lust and not love at all. The key is to become smart and wise enough to know the difference.
Thanks you very much for your exceptional rating and review. ~Dean

correct they are looking for lust. love is their "saintly" wife that they are not comfortable doing the lustful, kinky out of the ordinary sex stuff with.
Yes I heard the author was John but unclear which one. I have issues with sex, marriage, and the bible. Pray for me and I mean that seriously.

I will, Linda. I promise. Hey, if anyone is less deserving of God's grace than I am, I'd be hard pressed to find them. Yet He is still there when I need Him, and He will do the same for you. All you have to do is ask Him to.
Take care, my friend. Prayers sent your way...

Thanks, Ann Marie. You are right, we ask for it ourselves on many occasions. Eventually (hopefully!) when we grow a bit older and wiser we've already learned to steer clear of women like this. Sadly, however, that's not always the case, I'm afraid.
I very much appreciate your congrats and complimentary review, my friend.

I can always count on you stealing one of my stars:) This certainly
paints the perfect picture of a woman which 'Grandma' would have looked at and called a 'Jezebel.'

Oh, so now you're calling me a THIEF, are you?
Heh-heh, I'm only joking with ya, Gypsy, I know what you mean. I try to hang onto my meager allotment of six star ratings as long as I can too, but there are so many very talented writers on this site that I find it difficult to make it past Wednesday, LOL.
I appreciate your kind comments as well as the six stars.
Much obliged, my friend... :} ~Dean

Thanks for taking the time to read and review the poem for me, Jax. I certainly appreciate it, my friend. :)

This is a very well written story poem that rolls easily along bringing the reader with it from the start. Well described and rhymed. These lines are the best for me:
"A beauty on the outside, true--
she's monstrous to the core.
She casts her spells, lets evil brew,
then leaves you wanting more."

Eeek, that's one gruesome picture and anyone tempted to share intimately with her is blind or brain-dead. That being said with a smile, the verses are superb. They remind me of the poetic verses attributed To King Solomon when he warned his sons to beware of brothels.

Thank you, Carolyn. That is precisely what I had in mind when I wrote this. The problem with the way you see her in my picture is that she doesn't present herself that way in the beginning. It's not until she has her claws dug in deeply that she dares reveal her true self.
I very much appreciate your kind comments.
Comment from Gone but not forgotten
Well written. Hope it wasn't from personal experience because she does sound like a monster. But the overall feeling of an ominous creature preying on you is palpable. Good luck with the contest.

Well...I wish I could say this this was entirely a work of fiction, wordcraft3198. But if I did so, I'd be lying to you.
I very much apprecite your kind comments and positive feedback. :}
