Life can be a complex situation
Life can be better for some and not for many
Love can come and vanish suddenly
This is life I guess.

Liked what you wrote.

It is so good to be able to puzzle over your meaning again, Walt.

I know you've had some health concerns. I'm happy your back tilting a platter of soul for us to pick up and study.

God Bless, my friend.

I enjoyed your poem, and from the first 2 lines, I thought it would be a Jack London type piece with the wolf and the cold, but then it took a different path. There is a sorrowful "fallen" theme with so many references to the bottom; last, core, fall, floor, dirt, shadows, eyes close, and death...very powerful. In God we trust, and fearing not death, I don't get the feeling of fright, just sorrow and loss. I am, however, confused about the cowboy in white linen...I'll have to look that up as it's probably something the majority of the world know of, and I was absent that day. Excellent poem!

It has been some time since seeing anything from Walter and this work seems to be outlining a new life phase where work may be past and poetry and writing may be more the future. I wish Walter all the best in this new phase of life and thanks for the writing: HIS GRAYNESS
