I enjoyed reading your story, you did a great job developing the characters and the plot; also, I like the attractive format that enhanced the story. Good job!

this is a beautiful story, danpald, a wonderful message of your brother's faithfulness. how amazing that his rosary is left to share his faith with others. I would love to hear his story in a poem.

Thanks for the comments. I should have done it in a poem since that is more my style.

That's quite a story, Anonymous Author, made even more tragic in many ways because it is a true one. But sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction and faith is much stronger than death. Your brother's story is proof of that fact.
1 Corinthians 15:55--O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Great story. Good luck to you in the contest.

One thing about God. He honors faith no matter how it may be channeled. Sad thing losing this young man to stupidity. I shall vote for this piece.

What a a great story of faith for students to witness. In the schools, God is pushed out. I'm a mom who walks dogs and prays for the youth. Look at the MomsInPrayers web site for prayers. Very good witness to others about Jesus and his life. The Catholics are great church goers and shining lights for others. I teach youth about Jesus. Great entry! God bless! flylikeaneagle

This is a sad story. I respect his faith, but sometimes think it is very unfair. A young man who is pure of heart gets into an accident with a drunk driver. The drunk walks away, the boy dies. There is something wrong with this picture. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the comment. Yes it is a sad picture but also gives comfort in knowing one lives ready to die. Most of us live but are not so ready and that creates fear in place of peace.

Great are the mysteries of faith. One of the mysteries is the love of God. The young man was ready to meet his maker -- the drunk driver probably was not and his life was spared, giving another chance. Beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it. Best to you with the entry.

Hi Mystery author, this is an excellent entry for this particular competition.
You need to do a bit of editing on this paragraph though -
The friends come out and look at the accident many crying. Among the car there are things found is clear but the rosary is nowhere to be seen. The classmates cannot understand and begin to search around. Then open in a telephone pole the Rosary was found. It was open like on display for all too see. It is clear that this young man was praying when the truck hit him and the Rosary flew impacted into the pole. The testimony of Faith again given to his classmates made so bold.
If you read it carefully it doesn't make sense, otherwise this story is brilliant!
I wish you the best of luck in the contest my friend

I wanted to correct this but the contest voting started and it is too late. I am more a poet and the lines came out with that reality instead of prose.
-
Oh I see, don't worry too much about it though my friend.
-
I did some corrections on this paragraph because I do see the problems when i re-read it. Thank you.

I love this testimony that you've brought to the table in this contest, faith that shines even after death can be be an extremely powerful testimony. I think the syntax is a little rocky in places and needs a little reworking, but otherwise a most enjoyable read! well done, Good luck in the contest. blessings, Roy
