This was an unexpected story to say the least. But it amazed me as a lot of it sounded like part of my life. These two women had one thing in common even though they didn't know each other, until now. Very well written with a touch of
surprise also. And interesting. You did a good job on your story. Good luck!

Awesome job on this story. It's just the right length to keep the reader's attention and not overwhelm, yet you get the job done on drawing me in. I like the way it starts. You don't try to put too much info out there, just let the conversation lead its way into the details, which by the end, are fascinating. I love the twist at the end, as well! Well written piece...good luck on the voting.

This story is fantastic! It follows the failed marriages of two women. The connection between them is uncanny and incredibly entertaining. Additionally, the plot's unfolding of events is very well crafted. Thanks for sharing!

What a great twist to your story. I could not help but to smile. While reading, I kept wondering what secret these two could possibly share, then boom, right at the end....perfect. Well done. A great story and contest entry. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing.

I like your story. The ending was unspecting and made me feel good for the wife, Meg, but the plot is a bit unbelievable. I don't know any woman who would act this way. and the prompt calls for two women who become friends.

You may have missed both the prompt's suggestion that they were strangers and my innuendo that Janet was beginning to like the woman, Hopefully, you are not a member of the CEC because I would challenge you on this point,. You graded me on your experience, not for writing a story, My personal opinion is that you should get out more. There are some amazing women that don't trip when they face adversity.

A very clever and well written story that completely meets the requirements of the prompt. What a way to get the new wife back!!! The husband almost always still desires the woman he divorced. I really like your story. Good luck in the contest.

Oh boy! Where do I start?
As someone that was married three times and mumbled frustrated many times while picking up dirty socks from under the bed "never again" ill have to say that there is a level of peace you can achieve with the right partner, you know, once you get over the idea that the concept of love has so many more facets than the infatuation we confuse with true love.

This was very well crafted. I did NOT see the ending coming. I like how you gradually introduce each woman and let the dialog build the suspense. We soon realize that "mousy" Meg has more going for her than the reader or Janet thought. A very believable scenario, too, as I can believe this COULD happen the way it did.

I like surprise endings, especially when the under dog finds traction and wins the battle. Thanks.
