An interesting, well written chapter. Looks good too. The author notes are helpful. I just jumped in here, a little lost, but looks like the makings of a great novel. Saw no obvious SPAG errors. Nice read and good luck finishing this novel. Count your doubloon. wackydo

Hi Alexis, I like your take on the ghost. It gives the story some extra spice, no pun intended! I believe in them myself having experienced one myself.
Very good writing as usual, and I am looking forward to reading on. Ulla x

Yes, once you've experienced ghosts yourself, you're much more receptive to the fact they do exist. Once you get your head around the idea, they can be great fun! I'm slowing down a bit now because I'm working on the 'launch' of 'Let's Talk Dirty' via facebook, twitter and linkedIn. If you want to connect on any of them, just let me know by private message. Hi Alexis, I certanly will. Good luck with it all. Ulla xxx

I liked this chapter a lot, Alexis! A compassionate ghost, eh? You've written Igor to show your readers he's a kind and gentle man. I like the inner thoughts of the ghost too. Now there's a cat to deal with. Poor Nazdia!

As I understand it, most ghosts are usually still here on earth because they can't let go of their earthly coil. Hopefully Igor and Samantha can help each other! Alexis x

Bugger! That's Gotta suck! LOL. Ah well, he has a new girlfriend now, he may have been able to explain being in love with a mouse, but how on Earth is he going to explain being in love with a ghost Hahahaha! Great work mate, I'm loving it. Cheers Fez

Thank you, Fez! I've slowed down a bit now because I'm focusing on getting the book launched via Facebook, LinkedIn etc. next week. Fingers crossed! Alexis xxx

The picture for this is way cool! Love it!
Samantha reached down again and tried to move a lock of Igor's hair from his cheek to behind his ear, --I'd personally remove the word 'to' here... from his cheek behind his ear. Just a thought though. :)
What a great chapter! You had me content with the ghost and getting to know her, to worried bc now they are trying to find out how to get rid of her. Then the mice and cat. Amazing work! Loved every minute of it!! :-)
P.S. It's such a joy to read your work. I look forward to it every time I open my mailbox! Thank you for that!! :-D

What a lovely thing to say, Rebecca. I must admit I've been feeling a bit down of late because I'm still finding a few mistakes in my first loaded version of Let's talk Dirty on Amazon. Fortunately it's pretty easy to update but I'm flapping a bit because I've already sold a couple of dozen copies. Cringe! Hopefully I'll have it perfect before I start putting links to some of the funny chapters for friends to share on Facebook. Poor old Igor is in limbo until I can sort it out! Onwards and upwards! The sixer made my day, thank you! Alexis xxx

You earned the six. Happy it helped. I think we will always find errors in our work. I know I do no matter how many times I go through it. Don't worry. Mistakes or not your work is so good ppl won't mind! :-)

Oh, don't tell me Jasper got the mice --
but how could he? They're in a tin.
And this ghost - I hope she leaves Igor
in peace - but on the other hand, think
what fun it would be if she had a little
power to make things happen.
great chapter, Alexis.

Thank you Margaret. It will probably be a couple of days before I post a new chapter because I'm up to my eyes at the moment, but I'm looking forward to having some fun with Samantha in future chapters! Alexis x

Oh, no. Cat's licking his lips. Did he find Nazdia? He surely couldn't open the box. I bet he found something left from last night's dinner.
I'm excited about there being a ghost. I should have guessed with the lights blinking.
It only gets better and better.

A very evocative beginning to this chapter.
when he didn't turn up in time six years ago, [ratcheting up the intrigue, here, eh?]
In fact The first scene was moving and effective.
The second and third scene built nicely off the first and you ended with an excellent cliff-hanger. Dang git, hurry up!

I love the ghost... nice addition!
This is a great line: she Googled how to get rid of ghosts... LOL!
Now I'm nervous. I'm hoping the mice are all eaten up, but I doubt it. Too bad, since it's going to be a problem and I don't want any problems. I have enough in my own life. LOL!

Don't we all! That's one of the reasons I love writing. You can get it all off your chest while pretending to be someone else! Alexis x

Well, personally I hope Jasper had a good breakfast. That lovely ghost doesn't need competition. I loved the story behind her death and don't want Laura to get rid of her!
I'm anxious to see how you're going to handle all that.
