Based on your initial revelations as to how you felt about Jeff I couldn't help but laugh at the irony in the last line.

I like the chnage in POV. Rather than contiue with just the minimal in terms of details you are now inserting more of your thoughts and feelings.

This had to have been some wedding, with all the costumes and the added strangeness of the pagan rites. I went to a pagan style wedding once. I was a photographer. The groom's family was very much like you regarding the pagan rites. Some did not RSVP and did not come. Those that did go commented in much the same way you did, not agreeing with the rites but noting the spiritual feeling that encompassed the day.

Another good episode...

I have an open mind when it comes to spirituality. It doesn't always come in well-controlled organized religious groups. The presence of God can be found in any place filled with love, joy, and peacefulness. The rites simply make it legal. :-)

G'day Shari. That's it! Champers is going to become a nun! LOL. This is another great chapter albeit a strange one with "Snow white and Dopey" at the alter. How interesting their ideas are. Looking forward to the vows, anything could happen LOL. Cheers Fez

Oh my! That comment must have busted a gut with laughter from the crowd. Very funny. The ceremony sounds pretty meaningful to the bride and groom so far. I'm glad you enjoyed it. A couple of things to look at...

Jeff had a stick(-)held mask too:

burst of eight(-)inch white feathers erupted from the open top.

Jeff had choseen (chosen)the music for her entrance too,

Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Well indeed Shari, your writing is skillful and compelling, no doubt. The restraint you exercised is commendable (while I am certain, not at all satisfactory to your soul) ah...maybe not soul...maybe eh.dark side? Ok. the guys a bozo and the situation's a bummer and you wrote it up profoundly well (and that's what it's all about) so I won't tamper with the situational emotions and just stick to the important stuff! Your a great writer!...And a "hoot" too! Loveya: Vance PS: sorry to be outa sixes also......

I can read between the line, handsome man. Indeed, I am writing this for my own enlightenment. Trust me, I'm now listening to my soul which has grown tremendously the last twenty years.
Spiritual journeys take a while. :-)

Oh, you had me smiling in this chapter as much as you had me fuming in the last one. It was certainly a beautiful wedding ceremony, quite a production, but full of the right sentiments.

You are so wise and thoughtful when it comes to taking care of your daughter.
I do love the pizza in Jeff's face statement and the closing sentence just puts the icing on the cake!
LOVED IT

Thank you, debi, for such a warm and delightful review. Sure do appreciate that sixer. This story is opening my eyes to a lot of things. Called my daughter at work today just to tell her I love her. It caught her by surprise but it delighted her. Now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

"Jeff--Jeff--where was he? From the corner of my eye I saw him walking toward our table. His ape-length arms plopped into my vision, his meaty fingers splayed on the table. I looked up to see his buffalo head swivel to take in the 'grown-ups'. "How is the boring table doing?"

You've made him so attractive...how could anyone dislike this guy? :)

omg haha....your ending is .... surprising to say the least. It leaves the reader champing at the bit for the next installment.
Story continues to flow smoothly, holding the reader's attention. You certainly do have the gift of the story teller, Shari. Well done, as usual.
warm regards, wendy.

The last sentence got me again and I almost fell off my chair with laughter. Who would of thought Jeff would show such emotion during the ceremony. It just goes to prove, one never knows does one. Ha!

Love your reaction. Jeff shows more emotion before it's all over. He all but fell apart!

Spitfire: of course you already know that you can spell, use commas in the right place, have a great grasp of the English language and how to use it properly when writing.
I see that several incidents angered you and I see why. I think the last two lines of this story is brilliant (and quite funny!). It leaves the reader dangling and wanting, needing to know what happened next . . . Snow White and Dopey! Hysterical! This is six-star-worthy, of course, but I have only virtual today. Totally enjoyable read. livelylinda

THanks for choosing a chapter to read. I have a tape of the wedding and that's word for word what he said. Next will be the personal wedding vows that each one made. A lot of humor in each one.
