I enjoyed your haiku. The personification is super. Who would have thought that dandelions could be praying? But, yes. Good job with the syllable count. No changes. Great artwork, too. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for the great review. I am glad I allowed personification in this contest, and I could use "heads bent in prayer.". I changed the picture by the way.

Beautifully written for Brooke as well as the contest you entered; good luck. Would you consider adding your poem as a chapter to Brooke's multi-authored get well book? Please consider it as it would be a wonderful addition to her book. God Bless, Deb

Thank you for the great review and stars. I don't know if we could add a contest entry to a book, I will find out. I'd yes, I will certainly add it to Brooke's book. By the way, I changed the picture, take a look.

I am pretty sure you can enter this to Brooke's book. I've added some of my own contest entries to some of the books that I've posted here. Bye the way, the artwork is beautiful and far exceeds the other artwork you used. Love it, Deb

This is a message bound to bring good cheer, both for the delightful picture and the simple, heartfelt words. I am sure that we all echo your sentiments.

Thank you for the great review, Tony. I am counting on the power if collective prayer. We are all praying for her... By way, I changed the artwork, take a look.

Nice! I liked the childlike simplicity of the first image, too. This, however, has a more ethereal feel!

I hope you enter, Tony, though I don't know if you are a haikuist. Haven't read one by you yet.☺

This may have lived up to the requirements for the haiku but it made no sense to me. Dandelions are weeds that do drop their blossom heads almost immediately after being picked but they stink. I can't imagine them in a sickroom.

Thank you for the review. Let me explain. This is dedicated to Brooke (adewpearl), who us in the hospital now with a heavy form if MS. We are all praying for her. Dandelions were her favorite flowers, she dedicated many poems to them. There is a book of poems for Brooke's get well, compiled by members of this site. Half of them use dandelions in their poems to honor Brooke. This is a special flower for her; also, a dandelion has many curative qualities.
