I am out of sixes, and though I seldom will award a six to a small poem such as this (because I follow longer works, like books and stories, as well as poetry) this is one haiku I would definitely rate as outstanding and award a six if I had any. (The artwork you chose is exceptionally beautiful too - Brooke is going to LOVE this!)

Thank you for the great review and a virtual six. I am glad you liked this piece so much, and I hope, it will trulyvheer Brooke up. Her favorite dandelions have many medicinal and curative qualities. I was thinking of a big bouquet of them in her room.

This is absolutely lovely and made me think of Brooke. Beautiful haiku and my favorite so far. I wish you all the best in the contest too.

Yelena, this is a beautiful word image (and picture image as well) of dandelions with heads bent in prayer. This is a fresh idea and a fresh image. And I loved your note about our collective prayer for Brooke. I know that is true, and I certainly have joined in myself. Thanks for this good contest that gives many more a chance to express our love for Brooke. Love, Jeanie

Words and art blend in harmony -- almost as if even nature is missing her. Thank you for the contest to cheer her on and best wishes with your own entry.

This is a great haiku and tribute for Brooke. Yes, a lot of people are praying for her. You eloquently express our hopes and prayers in a few simple words about her favorite flower. Thank you for sharing.

What a lovely haiku and presentation Y! I can picture the dandelions in a vase in Brooke's room and the juxtaposition of this concrete image with the image in your third line of heads bent in prayer provides the reader with a powerful AHA. You've captured the key elements of a haiku well. The artwork is stunning and the entire presentation complements the whole beautifully. Well done! Thanks so much for sponsoring this opportunity to show Brooke, once again, how much we are thinking of her. Sue

Thank you so much for the stunning review and the six stars, Sue! Coming from a haiku expert like yourself it is a compliment indeed! I wanted to create a dandelion haiku because it is Brooke's favorite flower. I am delighted with all the entries, and I am sure, Brooke will too.
Thank you again for the encouragement, love, Y.

What an expressive haiku. All the well wishes, prayers, and healing essence of dandelions that are heading her way should at least bring a smile to Brooke.
The artwork is amazing, too. Good luck in the contest.

This meets all of the haiku requirements beautifully. I love the highly imaginative manner in which you seamlessly turn the floating spores into prayers. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you for sharing it.
