You must be talking about a different increment of dandelions seeds. All the first
few thousand lit in my yard. A great thing about Brooke's reviewing was she'd
tear your gibberish apart, tell you what to fix-and then give you five. Carrot vs. stick. Excellent counting poem.

Yes, she would do that quite often, Red. Not many others are as gentle as Brooke in handling your goof-ups.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate the comments. ~Dean

That's a very moving and sweet poem, Dean, and I agree with its purpose. Please send a fluffy seed for me. I don't know why she's sick and not with us, and I've had much less time to be with her than all of you, but I feel the collective sorrow and pray, with you, for her recovery,
Rhonda

This a great ode to a lovely lady and great poet. The art work is fabulous and the meaning is deep. Dandelions was one of her wonderful poems she wrote. I wish hr God's speed.

Thanks very much, Tom. Brooke recently lost her sister, and now has an advanced from of MS. She's the site's #1 poet, and has been for many years running. Justifiably so, I might add. I'm glad to know that you enjoyed it, and it's my sincerest wish that Brooke does as well.
Thanks again for your kind comments and review. ~Dean

Hi Dean
this poem you have dedicated to Brook is simply divine. I can just image her face when she reads your words of beauty and meaning pertinent to her alone. I will reiterate your last stanza as it does speak for us all

One last seed, a lighter fellow
I'm sending to our friend,
aglow in vivid sunshine yellow,
hoping she'll return to us again.

Well done Dean.

Mary

I thought of doing just this, but I'm glad you did it. I doubt I could get close to the beauty of your poem and it's subtle homage to Brooke and wish to see her return. I am not surprised people are responding so warmly and with such concern. She is the First Lady of FS and her generous heart has touched us all. Congratulations on a wonderful tribute.

It is an emotiona-filled poem on Brooke' illness. I wish her early recovery. She used to write those wonderful poems for children to teach them counting. You have shared your feelings for her by writing a similar style poem.

Brooke is going to love this one dearly as you combine her favorites, dandelions and counting tales. There is no need to mention rhyme or meter since they are flawless as usual. The essence of this piece is filled with light and love and will surely aid in her healing and send her back to us soon. Nicely done and I thank you for sharing it.
