Dear Kay, this is so touching. I feel your emotion come through in this lovely poem for Brooke. I still cannot get my head around the thought that she will have to spend her life in a nursing home, she has always been so vibrant, and just does not deserve what life has now dished out for her. We haven't heard anymore from Miranda, I just cannot understand why she can't stay in touch with us by laptop. MS does not affect the mind. I just don't understand this at all. But, that aside, I know she will love this poem from you, my lovely friend. :) Sandra

How did the hospital go? Yes, I can't understand no follow up from Miranda. Some people think she will get better, she won't, she could live for years as the body breaks down. What a dreadful life sentence. Anyway, thanks for reading, I appreciate your review. Love, K. :-)XX

A well written poem. It has very good pace and paints a great picture of
a sandy beach with gentle rolling waves.
A easy read that has been written with a lot passion and love.
Thank you.

Lovely tribute to Brook, we on this site are all missing her and wishing her well. Nice imagery and good use of rhyming to convey your message. In verse 2, it should be creatures' lee. Most enjoyable. Faye

Thank you Kay for telling of Brooke battle with MS. For someone who continually write her poems with love it seem to be unfair, but life is a mixture of good and bad. We also have Maureen and possibly Artemis who have been away from us for a while. Maureen definitely with MS.

Lovely thought of yours with a lovely poem

Alan, I believe our fate is marked out before we are born; she is one feisty lady. I don't hold high hopes for recovery, most Fanstorians think she is bullet-proof, nobody is. My love to you and Marilyn. :-)K XX

Kay, Your poem is a nice tribute to Brooke and shows how the two of you must have "talked" at times. Your "rock pools" bring back memories of Australia for me.

Wow! This is a beautiful tribute to your friend Brooke. It is full of love and good wishes. It has great rhyming and excellent flow. Nicely done, my friend.

I've read many poems from those on FS all going to Brooke. I don't know her, however, I can feel that she is a well loved person. I'm sure she will love this poem, my friend.

Always with respect,

This is absolutely lovely. Yes, Brooke loves the sea and has told me many times how she envies that I live just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean. I am sure she will enjoy this one.

I know about Brooke and how she's been #1 poet for forever. She sure has a natural talent. It's so sad that she is so unwell. I hope she improves soon.
This morning it is Freezing! have got seven layers on plus the air conditioner. I've got a thermostat problem with my body, can't handle the cold. xo

I too can't control my body thermostat; did you know that the Govt. will give you $80 every three months towards A/C? Pensioner I think you have to be.
