Ladybugs (the kind that don't bite) are one of my favorite little bugs, so I enjoyed your sonnet, and the picture, for Brooke. Very nice.

Hi MA,

This is another beautiful piece of work for Brooke! If good wishes, prayers and positive thoughts don't do the trick, I don't know what else we can do. Big sigh.
I enjoyed your stellar rhymes and solid cadence throughout this sentimental poem and appreciate the emotional impact of the piece...well done!
Hope you have a great day,
Bill

Thank you very much, Bill! I hope that Brooke is feeling all the love being sent her way as it is close to tsunami level now.

Another great poem to post in Brooke's book. I know she will love your reference to Ladybug. Nice smooth rhyme and rhythm 8-)

Excellent job!! I enjoyed your poem. To me, it's about the love of lady bugs. :) It's adorable. I love the format you chose, a beautiful picture with a nice size font and color. I hate it when the font is so small I can't read it unless I get very close.

Good rhyme and sound.

Thank you very much! Lady Bugs and sonnets are two of Brooke's favorite things so I thought combining them would make her doubly happy as she is recovering. I am very appreciative of your kind encouragement and support as nothing means more to me than to make another person smile.

This is a message of love for one that is missing it shows that their absence has left it's mark
A supportive and loving poem that reaches out but so show my heart knows it's not a lady bug it is intended for

Thank you very much! Brooke (aka Adewpearl) is one of the sweetest and most talented writers on the site. She is greatly missed by everyone as you can tell from the outpouring of good wishes being sent her way.

Your poem is the second one I've read dedicated to Brooke as of today. She is an inspiration to a lot of poets here. One thing we did not share in common was her talent in rhyme-- which you also seem to have, but I don't. Lol! Don't judge. Just not my cup tea.... ;-P
Seriously though, I DO pray she heals and recovers and comes back to doing what she does here at FS.

Thank you very much. I think it would be hard for any of us to compare ourselves to her natural talent for rhyme and meter BUT it is something we can all aspire to and she certainly did her best to inspire that in all of us.

I love this poem! I have recently discovered my inner gardener! LOL Seriously, I have a huge yard full of flowers and a nice garden. It's been relaxing and good for the soul and the sentiments you attach here are in harmony with goodness. I like and admire that. Have a good one. Bruce.

Thank you kind sir! I love to garden too as I find it relaxing and there is something comforting about connecting elbow deep with the earth. One of my gardens is a "survivor" garden where I plant a new bloom for every person I meet that has survived a serious illness (used to be dedicated to cancer survivors BUT I have broadened my horizons). I planted a miniature lilac for Brooke this morning (they are wonderful plants and you should look into them as they are beautiful and hardy). I am pleased you enjoyed this and always grateful for the kind encouragement.

Hey, that's a very kind gesture. I like that. My old house was probably a farmhouse at one time and whoever has lived there planted tons of things, mostly perennials. I even recently found out I have boysenberries! Take care.

This is a nicely written Shakespearean sonnet. It seems one of her favorite types of poems. I am sorry that she is sick. What is she ailing from? Just thought I'd use older English to match your sonnet. She has helped many on this sight.
Can't wait to have her back. I have missed her poems and reviews.

Keep writing

Thank you very much! It is one of her favorite forms and about one of her favorite things - the lady bug. If we all just keep sending good wishes and blessings her way I am sure she will return to us soon.
