Good chapter, I guess some form of nature magic is in play. Excellent writing.

note:

He [motioned] for the horses and Goliath to come.
- I think this should be past tense.

Thank you for the catch. You are correct, it should be past tense. I appreciate your review.

Great chapter, Barbara, once again. You won't get any argument about the layout and make up of the land in the area hehe. Feeling like Kuruk (who I am sure is the bear's 'spirit?') and the dogs are all considering Jim as family now.
Just wandering back in my mind way back to the Savannah story when we first met.

I am hoping to get Savannah published this summer. Thank you for the kind review.

Did you ever get Savannah in an E book? Have I got it under another name as an e-book? Remember I think I bought something else off you as an e-book I think Twisted hearts or was that some one else? I do have a Kindle for PC app on here.

Error:
seven feet tall (height)
"I don't feel too well." (good)

The bear fading away is a very good ending hook. It looked like Jim is doing okay and help is close by. I like the fact that Jim wasn't too caring about the trussed up invaders.

This is really great. I love the way the dogs Goliath and Butkus help. Goliath helps find shelter, and they get the tree trunks for the shelter, and even find a few rabbits while they're at it. No wonder Jim jokes about the dogs forming a union. Soni becomes conscious enough to say a few words, but she still needs medical attention. Interesting about the bear. It just seems to stand there and then vanishes mysteriously. Excellent. judi

You're always welcome. I'm behind in reviewing and find it's a chore when people post two things a day to be reviewed. Yours are always worth the wait. judi

A good chapter, and I liked how Jim talked to the dogs as if they were human which seems very real. Anyone that knows and loves dog can relate to that very easily. Your notes were helpful as well. I know that many parts of the west were once a sea bed, but I hadn't realized that it extended into Texas. The descriptions are good as well, and make for an enjoyable read.
