Poetry comes in so many forms and shapes and anybody can write it, but not everyone can weave words into art. Well done and good luck.
Take care.

I really enjoyed reading your entry for the acrostic poetry contest.
I agree with your insight here and as I go on to read your words following the piece I must say, I feel the same way. One without the other just doesn't have the same kind of effect. It's one of the things I like about poetry.

Well, then I guess Poe, Plath, Sexton, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, etc., are all screwed and purveyors of something that is not poetry. Really? Does every poem have to be composed a certain way? Crack open any anthology of modern poetry- poetry is all about diversity of voice, different moods, different pallets. All painted by the same brush would be boring. Is The Louvre filled with Kinkaide's? A serviceable acrostic with a very narrow, opinionated message.

I was expecting such type of reaction/disagreement, particularly about Author Notes, but all are free to have their own opinion as you are.

Yeah, yeah, that's all well and good. An excellent acrostic, in fact. But there are
those among us who are also fans of the Dirty Little Limerick and works like the one about the Bar in Secaucus.

Hello RPSaxena
I agree with you especially when you said-
Poetry with sweet rhythm and rhyme must enlighten
the mind and relay the reader a message

Wonderful art work for these words written
When we write a poem we express our thoughts
our creativity and gift of writing for many to read.
These words are so right in every way.

I'm kind of offended because none of my poems rhyme but that doesn't mean they're bad. I hope you don't really believe that. It's the message and feeling that makes a good poem, not the rhyming. I disagree but you get five stars because the poem is well written and for that I cannot knock you
