Wow. Congratulations on this well-deserved win. I've actually heard of this place, but I was never sure whether it really existed. Thanks so much for the entrancing description. It's listed as "general fiction," so I'm guessing you didn't really spend your honeymoon there, right?

No, I didn't. The story is fiction, but the place is very real. Google Hotel de Glace to look at some amazing pictures. Thanks.

This story is well-written and the description of the hotel had me shivering. Since I find it difficult to stay warm enough in Iowa winters, in spite of how glamorous this hotel sounds, I doubt I will travel to enter it. Wonderful description, however.

I don't blame you. It is cold. Thanks.

This sounds like a really magical place. Wow, more than 50 workers and over 6 weeks to build! That's a lot of work. The slide sounds fun! Very romantic to have another proposal in the chapel. I enjoyed reading about this place.

It is considered one of the top ten romantic places in North America to get married. Don't ask me what the other nine are. LOL Thanks.

The story was fiction, the place very real and you can see pictures if you Google Hotel de Glace. Thank you.

It was wonderful regardless whether the story was fact or fiction. I've seen documentaries on ice dwellings over the world. A very different way to write about the prompt.

Sounds like an enjoyable little place to visit, once. Easy to follow story line. Action packed and flows smoothly. Descriptively well written.

I have used your photography so often, it makes me wonder if we see things in the same way through a lens. I never notice the artist's name until I make my selection, and I'm no longer surprised when I'm attracted to your images. Thank you.

That's very kind of you poet.
When you can, please check out my written work here on Fanstory, I would be grateful.

Very nicely done, I thought. Congratulations. I knew about the ice hotel in Scandinavia; I didn't realise there was another one in Canada.
A couple of SPAGs. (Square brackets indicate suggested deletions, and asterisks, suggested insertions):
'every hair on a large moose carving looked real.' (Insert a blank line after this to mark the new paragraph).
'we'd drank before[,]. (Also 'drank' should be 'drunk' as it is the past participle).

There are many pictures on line. This was the 15th year the hotel has been erected and each year, there is an increase in business. Some magazine or list included it as one of the top ten romantic spots to get married.
Thanks for the alerts.

good job! this is a fascinating story but I can't see in my mind what it looks like. I guess I am having a hard time figuring out if you are serious or not. How can someone live inside an ice palace?

You can google Hotel de Glace and see many pictures as this is an international tourist site. Rates for a room are $400 per night and up. But I understand; if you can't accept the concept in your mind, it is hard to visualize.. Thanks/

I checked the pictures on line. It's amazing!
