Beautiful tribute to your mom. And raising you alone has to be tough one. I'm sure you have many wonderful memories.

Mom's indeed are special. My brother and I were certainly blessed with ours, who also passed away in 2007--a week before Thanksgiving.

What a beautiful tribute to your mother, Brett. Of course everyone thinks their mom is best, and that is how it should be.

She sounds like a strong woman raising children alone and it also sounds like you children gave her a few starts with your antics, but all worked out in the end.

This is very touching and sure brings a tear to my eyes. I look at my own mother who is so frail at the moment and realize I might not have long with her anymore. Very sad indeed. This is well written.

Common dirt was all we were. Truer love could not be found
