Ooh, intrigue and secrets already.... My kind of story!
It seems like Igor have a few days of relief before he has to deal with Mrs Patel, I mean, Karen, again!!! How quickly she forgot how it felt to have the boss treat you like a dumb ox.
I hope thst doesn't come back to bite her.

Apologies for the delay in thanking you not only for this wonderful review, but the sizzling six! I didn't realise I'd got so behind. As you now know, Karen and Igor become good friends. Alexis xxx

A good ending for a tragic beginning. So sad that Igor has nowhere to live! I wonder how long he can keep it a secret? Nice chapter, Alexis.

I haven't decided, but we should have some fun with Igor's 'homeless' situation in the meantime. Alexis x

This chapter as the previous one leads into the next with unanswered questions that keeps my curiosity alive and wanting more. This one answered the last chapter that her injury is just a minor one. It'll be interesting to see how Karen will treat Igor when she returns. Another question looming from the past. 'Stay tuned,' as they say. I think the beginning of this book is even moving faster than the previous one. Keep it up! Les

I'm finding it quite hard to introduce the characters but keep the momentum up at the same time. I have so many stories to incorporate from my hotel management days, I have to slow down! Alexis x

G'day Alexis. That's wonderful mate. I love the embelishment over the sacking, that was a crack up. So he is living in the bedford, maybe he should get a room there, he seems ok to me. This is great stuff, cheers Fez

Any suggestions for Igor's character? I'm sure you could give me some great ideas. As long as you let him keep his long sleeves and trousers! Alexis x

I reckon he could be a cannibal serial killer that goes out and gets young gay men once the restaurant is closed and chops them up and stores them in the coolroom and uses them iin dishes for his dinner calling them traditional Polish delicacy LOL.

Perhaps he ecaped from an asylum in warsaw and the polish Government have him under surveilence

So glad you put the translation in the author notes, Alexis. Also, for KP. I was wondering what this meant a couple of times. I didn't take note to any problems with anything. An enjoyable chapter. Drew xx

So Igor lives in the back room... cool. I guess that violates some code, so Karen etal couldn't allow it. Better that she doesn't know. What does Igor look like? Young and handsome perhaps?

Igor is skinny, and has a tendency to be easily dominated by women. I'll have to find him a sweet little mate! Alexis x

Straight vodka drinkers usually means long-time seasoned drunks in my past's experience. However, I'm sure there are plenty of areas, like Russia, where that isn't such a useful clue. You've done a great job of softening my heart up for ol' Igor and making me anxious to read your next chapter. Great job. :-)

I couldn't agree more. It seems to be coming a fashion these days in the British pubs and clubs, but Russians have always drunk it neat. Yuck! Alexis x

Gracious - the poor chef hasn't a home...
surely, he should tell them and perhaps
get one of the smaller single rooms to stay
in?
What a hectic time for all, but they pulled it off
you have a way of making me "feel" their relief. Alexis.
tell you how impressed she was.(')

I feel so sorry for Igor, he had an accident, but that accident could have cost them greatly. But, he's sweet, bless him! lol. Let's hope that Laura won't be in trouble with Karen for telling a porky pie! But, that said, he did a good job in the end. Now, we have the thing about Igor not having a home to go to. Obviously he will be found out one day. The plot thickens! Excellent, my friend!! Did you have a word with your son about the costume? :) Sandra xxxx

I think Igor is going to be very popular. Reviewers already have a soft spot for him. Part of his character has been inspired by the character in the film called 'The Terminal' This guy gets stuck at an airport for months when his Polish type fictitious country has a problem. Everyone ends up helping him because he's so endearing. Perseverance is the name of the game! Alexis xxx
-
I remember that film, it was really good. There will be lots of possibilities in this story for him. Romance??? xxx
-
Yes, I think it's a must. I'm introducing a possibility for him soon, but she has problems of her own!
