Loved this chapter!! Hahaha. I read this too a while ago. Soooo funny and yet he always seems to survive and move on to his next act of Deviltry.
Geez, are we so old we have to tell people who the Rat Pack is??
I do a great impression of Anthony Newley. Sadly, no one knows who the hell that is! What a world. mikey

Thanks again, Mikey. Yep, Luke's a survivor, unfortunately. :)

Hilarious in-depth character observation of bumbling Lucifer. All that evil and Lava has melted he's brain to its simplest form. Two DOE's and not knowing the difference, OK. This chapter makes him look more foolish than he ever did in any other chapter.

Thank you so much, Muffins. Glad you enjoy seeing Luke being the bumbling idiot he is. I'm going to miss him when the book series ends. Maybe I'll write some short stories about Luke. :)

Picture shows just what kind of a real "winner" he is too. Rotten imp! Action flows smoothly. Story line easy to follow. Write on.

The focus Lucifer venting his anger. The storyline development Lucifer gets out of the pits and to his office. Unknown to him his Director of Entertainment took pictures of him looking like a mermaid. He is so angry about the suit and the eyes he calls the Director of Engineering. He tells Luke it is Sammy D and Franks fault. Luke gives the DOE job to Jerry and after Mitch comes in to find he is out of a job. After the concert of Luke's music he decides to go up above.
The dialog is clear and new characters are being developed. The narration shows the action of Luke making it back yo his office.
The hook will Mitch use the pictures he took?
Keep on writing.

Phyllis, I really enjoyed this chapter. Have a great week. *J* Rita

I really enjoyed this post and I laughed while reading. That's a really good thing. You are doing a great job of writing this. I know it's already long, but I hope it never ends.

Thanks so much, Barbara. Actually, this book will be only 2/3 the length of DEMON, Ginger's story. THAT was my longest book ever. This one should have only about 100,000 words or so, one of my shortest books. It just seeeeems to go on forever, since this is the third book in the series.

Quite a creative chapter, Phyllis. Luke's stupidity and perpetual confusion is always good for a laugh. I must confess that I felt a bit sad that Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra and Elvis landed in the depths of hell. Perhaps Ginger can free them. LOL

There were many funny scenes, but for some reason this absolutely cracked me up:
"Being the Devil, he didn't have the option to pray that the hall would be empty; he had to count on his luck, which hadn't been so good that day."

Great idea with the Director of Entertainment and the Director of Engineering and the confusion DOE brings. Sammy D and Frankie should be great. Wonderful songs "Ginger on My Mind" and "You are My Special Fallen Anagel." Luke is so creative. Poor Luke is still hopping around, and in need of a new robo suit. Then he has the great idea of going to the surface. Wonder who he'll make life miserable for this time. Ioved the humorous touches in this. judi

Thank you so much. Luke has a score to settle with Sebastian, who stole his money and then left congress without doing the job Luke bribed him to do. Luke thinks, like others, that he ran away. But Blaze told Luke he's safely locked up, so Luke plans to get to him.

You're welcome. Will Sebastian be in any shape for Luke to even recognize him? Maybe Blaze will get to him first and save him. judi

Hi Phyllis,

Of course, as usual, I enjoyed reading this chapter of your book. It was really interesting. Boy, Lucifer sure thinks highly of himself, while he puts everyone else down. I always liked Sammy's and Frank's singing.

Thanks so much, Kat. Kids today don't listen to singers. They listen to shouting and screaming with a lot of drums to drown out the "singer".... or to hip hop.

Hi Phyllis,

First of all, I loved your notes. I was always a big fan of Davis and Sinatra. In fact, HBO recently had a documentary on old blue eyes.
I like the originality in Luke's curse words, lol.

LOL - great banter between Luke and Jerry. And I have to mention that nice touch with Luke putting a match to his suit.

Hugs,
Lou

Thanks so verrry much for the sixer, Lou. Glad you enjoyed this nutty chapter. I'm going to miss Luke... will have to do some short stories about him later I think. :)

I'll miss him too. Yes, I do hope you'll use him in some short stories. He's too good a character to waste.

I think this chapter deserves a big Six, Phyllis. That was such a riot. I can see Luke cracking up in his office, angry at everybody. Jerry has got something on the boss now with the video. So that's where the Rat Pack got to; and still entertaining. I like Luke's versions of the oldie, but goodie songs. Does Elvis still have his blue suede shoes. I'm waiting to see what Luke gets up to while his new suit and eyes are being made.

cheers
Annette

Thanks a million for the six stars, Annette. So glad you enjoyed the chapter. Jerry is in entertainment, so of course he'll use the video he made... youtube, here we come. :)
