A great follow-up. Poor Jenny, upstaged by a cat, and the romance out of her marriage after only a few months. Laura is disappointed in her new love life too. So good bye to Jack. At least Karen is happy.
sneaky peek at Stiffy? -LOLOL

Thankfully they're not married, but George is making the stupid assumption Jenny will accept his cat as gladly as she accepts him. As I've said before, it's usually a third party that causes problems between two people. This time it's the sodding cat! Alexis xxx

I'm so glad that Karen and Mark are back together. The other single ladies can have adventures finding new men, and it should be a lot of fun. Congrats on the first book. Do you plan to publish it as a paperback or just ebook? Createspace does the paperbacks for free and then they help you with the Kindle version.

Lol, that's what I'm hoping! I realised, midway through LTD, that it's easier to have two people having a conversation than three, so whilst they'll all be together in the hotel, it will be Jenny and Laura who turn to each other more in this one. Should be fun! Alexis x

Sad to see that Jenny's having second thoughts, but conflict is what keeps the reader going, and of course there's the good in Karen's situation, and Laura's restaurant still a success shows what determination can do. I thought the cat thing was a bit humorous, and sad at the same time. Each of the three have distinctive personalities which makes it fun to follow. Write on! Les

Absolutely! The last book ended with them all looking settled. It's time to shake everything up again for the sake of the story. I'm so pleased you see them as having distinct characters. That means a great deal to me. Thank you! Alexis x

hi Lexi, Yesterday I went to see that movie "The Longest Ride". It occurs to me that when you write you have that same vibe going one. You pay attention to details. You capture the imagination with storylines that are believable, funny and just plain clever! I like these three girls my friend. Great work. xoxo deborah

Hi! It's so lovely to hear from you. I'm delighted that you like my 'friends.' They have taken on a life of their own since I started writing 'Let's Talk Dirty!' last year, and in the short time I wasn't writing about them between the two books, I drove my real friends mad! I hope to see you again during their journey. Take care, Alexis x

Welcome back! Nice to see another posting Alexis. A very smooth chapter. Looks like one or two of the girls is about to be single again. Laura's decision sounds like a good one. No one wants to know or think they were the second choice for someone else. That's a tough one to get over.

Absolutely, and Laura's past history with her late husband was never a 'second choice' situation, so she couldn't settle for anything less. Don't worry, I'm sure, now she's working at the reception of the hotel, another opportunity will arise. It's whether she's ready for it is the question! Alexis x

Wow and I wrote you such a nice review, I wonder what happened to it. It is gone.
What I love about your books is the fact they are written for middle aged women who have suddenly been left alone at that age with limited resource's or prospects and lonely. You give them hope. Did you see the movie "The Shell Seekers?" Most people write about young people. Well done Alexis. Thanks for your help. Nancy

Hi Nancy, I thought I better alert you to the fact that I got this by mistake. Alexis x

wow! How did that happen. I had better check! Thanks Alexis!!! Did you get yours? Nancy

Lol, no, this was the one I got. This happened to me once before when I got one from Mastery by mistake. I think that was a Sunday too!

LOL! I've just realised you updated it. Thank you! I'm so glad you think this could give older women confidence. That was one of the things I definitely wanted it to do. Now we 'oldies' are internet savvy, we're a force to be reckoned with, so we shouldn't be ignored! I would love this to become a film, if only for that reason. One day, perhaps, fingers crossed. I've got to say I like the girls. Each one has such a distinct voice. I like the cat problem. I don't like animals in my room. They take over and I don't like the taste of dog hair in my mouth. LOL. Great start for the new adventure. I like that you gave this one a few months to weave in a good back story instead of taking up right where the last story ended. Great job. I look forward to more. Gretchen

I'm so glad you think that, Gretchen. I've loosely based the girls characters on friends, past and present, so I'm pleased they're managing to retain their own identities. I don't like animals in the bedroom either, so this one came from the heart! Alexis x

Hi Alexis,

Was wondering how you were doing.

Zahir strongly objects to Jasper being referred to as 'it' in the furst para!

Though he says feels this does work to characterize Jenny's inferiority as a dog purrson. He says if the golden retriever is so wonderful, Jenny could sleep in the kitchen herself with it.

__

Suggest rephrase a cat radiates ( rather than radiated) so well.

Just check what is the name of Laura's son? I thought it was Michael, not Paul.

___

This seems like a good place to start the new novel. I think you definitely made the right choice by rejigging the ending.

Best wishes, Alison

Zahir would not allow me to give you a six, and says Jasper, or the model chosen fur him, looks a fine cat.

Hi Alison, AND Zahir! Okay, point taken. Jenny can sleep in the kitchen with the dogs, and George and Jasper can have the bedroom--not! Not very good for their sex lives... No longer an 'it' Jasper is not going to like the changes, so if you, Zahir, want to give me any tips on how naughty Jasper might be, I'd love to hear them. Yes, I took this opportunity to change Michael's name to Paul because he and Michelle's names are too similar, and they're going to be seeing a lot of each other in this book. I can't have just the oldies dating. I'm now deliberating book covers in case I publish the Ebook on Amazon. So much research is making me even more confused than before with regard to agents etc. Hopefully, I'll get there in the end.
Hugs from across the pond, Alexis xxx

Great new start with this chapter Alexis. :) I hate to hear that Jenny is having second thoughts about George just because of his cat. She needs to sit him down & talk to him about their lost spark & fun.
And I was so hoping Laura would have a new love. I hope she doesn't put away the hope of finding love again. She's still an attractive active female with a lot to offer a good man. I still have hope for her. :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.
I'm happy for Karen & Mark. You made me giggle. :) Mark made the comment about taking a sneaky peak at Stiffy. HA! Cute!
I'm really looking forward to reading more & seeing where the girls life goes. You're an awesome writer!
Shana :)

Hello, my friend, and thank you for such a great review and another wonderful six. Stiffy? It used to be one of my husband's jokes after we heard Jack Nicholson say it to Julie Andrews in a film many years ago. I can still hear him saying it now! Don't worry about Laura. I'll let her have some fun when she's over licking her wounds. As for Jenny? Prepare for fireworks. She's not a redhead for nothing! I'll only by posting two or three times a week this time, but hopefully they will all be chapters worth waiting for. Hugs and thanks again. Alexis xxx

This reminded me of what I enjoy reading, Alexis. Not the content so much, but the flow of the story telling. It works so nicely. Once I had to reread two lines but it probably was me. Hence, the six stars. You are a wonderful story writer. Keep up the great work. Drew xx

Thank you Drew! You couldn't give me a better compliment. I feel I know these women so well now, writing scenes for them is getting easier and easier. The six star is really appreciated because I know how precious they are. Hugs, Alexis x
