I couldn't believe it when I saw this story on TV. It sounds like science fiction to me, So many things are possible now that we wouldn't have dreamed of a few years ago. I hope it will work out for this man's sake, if it will save his life. This will be amazing of it turns out successfully. Like your comment about a brain transplant. Sometimes I think I need one of those. Great topic of interest to write about. judi

This is a mind-blowing story! Personally, I do not think it would be possible to do such a thing successfully. There are too many nerve connections, and too much blood supply. Your story is fascinating and well written. You have made a typo - "...the patents head" should be "...the patient's head". Well done.

Warm regards,
Wendy.

I am speechless I truly don't know what to write. Is man taking this top far or is this another medical break through.
This is truly a food for thought story.... meaning after you read it you go mm.

Hi there,

I think this is a fascinating subject.
Many brand it as science fiction (like Face/Off) but science fiction comes true all the time.

cars
planes
space flights
television
satellites
mobile phones
transplants
cloning

The list goes on and on. Interesting piece.

I am always fascinated by medical science and love to see new ways and techniques to save the lives of people, and also to take their pain away. I just cannot see a head transplant ever happening, but one never knows.

Thanks for sharing. Mary

"He has already a long waiting list" should be "He already has a long waiting list". Would probably be an improvement surgery for a lot of people if it was possible, but unfortunately, only fantasy. Action flows well. Story line easy to follow. Write on.

Ine - what a story - it sounds like Frankenstein all over again. If it happens then science fiction becomes fact. I really cannot imagine it - is it really ethical to carry someone else's head on your shoulders - keep us posted. Warm regards Dorothyx

Fascinating story, which will evoke quite a debate. I think your story would be more powerful if you provided more of your own thoughts and feelings, as opposed to just description of the operation. I think some of your sentences could be combined where they deal with a similar subject matter, i.e. the first 4 paragraphs/sentences, rather than having so many one sentence paragraphs, which makes it seem unfinished. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story and thank you for sharing. I'll be awaiting the results of this fantastic surgery. You are so right in raising ethical questions, which need to be thoughtfully debated. Hopefully the debate will involve as much thought as emotion.

No way! This has to be fake. Maybe a brain transplant but not a whole head - that is crazy. I have never heard this before. I'll have to read more about it.
