Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

Beautifully written in tercet stanzas, the rhyming isn't perfect, but sometimes that masks the quality of the writing, and this is eloquently descriptive in its imagery, the enjambment is smooth and I loved the way it has been crafted, I enjoyed the captured mental portrait of the original image, well done, very clever, blessings, Roy.

Thanks for reading and your very interesting review. There seems to be two schools of thought amongst people on this site about near rhyme/assonance. There is the view that somehow it is a sort of second rate rhyme. The other camp, where I pitch my tent, accepts it as an interesting variation. Whatever it makes for a lively debate.

Don't worry, we all get them, this was new for me, don't fret, you're very good! And some of us pretend we know what we're talking about. And poets can be very sensitive, including me, I try not to take myself too seriously, don't always succeed, i'm learning! blessings, Roy.
