Hello my friend Nomi, The photo is lovely to enhance your simply beautiful poetic words, even though it's obvious that you aren't writing this to your wife, because I'm sure she was impressed with you. I know it's about your life and your wife, but you wrote it with a clever twist. Very nice piece. Your wife is lucky to have you and I bet she feels the same appreciation and love for you. Hello Bill, what a wonderful name for a poet. I would tell as many women as I could what my name was so that they could call me darling. I love it. Please forgive for my bit of sillliness, I'll bet you have heard stuff like this for so long that you are entirely sick of it.

Suppose that the rhyming of this poem is excellent, ABAB.... The tone, the structure, the image, and the expressions are great. However, Have concerns for the "rhythm," yes the "rhythm,." Going over the lines one by one, first stanza, I see 8,6,7 and then back to 8. I was thinking of seeing constant 8 where the poem could have been perfect in every aspect--a "Kyrielle" in iambic form ( 8 syllables in every line) or best an iambic pentamter. My friend, I suggest, although, I know and I see from your profile you had been writing for long time, please go to our site (section) where it says, Poetry Dances and you will appreciate what I am saying. Or you may think in your mind: Who is this guy trying to lecture me? I say this because there are a lot of sensitive guys in this site and I don't want to be misunderstood. Have a nice day! Dom

Listen I have made much progress with much more gains to come since joining this site and it is due in very large part to the advice and examples I have received from the skilled writers on this site. I have never questioned the skills or motives of any writer who has offered me advice or instruction. How else will I ever learn? I thank you for your kind and very wise comments.

Well you sure put your cards on the table and leave nothing up your sleeve! Perhaps because, as you say, it is just a poem, and not for real, for me there is something missing here. Can't give you less than five stars because as a poem it works and flows etc. just as it should but as an expression of undying love it all seems a bit one-sided. What are you going to do for her I wonder?
