This is such a tender heartfelt poem. I liked the delicate pink background as it added to the soft tone of the poem. The picture added a tender feel to it also. This was very well written. Thank you for sharing.

That's very nice and heartfelt...I would have thought you were a newlywed reading that! So you have held on to the fire...good for you! And good for your wife! Am I reading this right to say that you didn't really impress your wife to be on your first meeting, but as time went by, you were able to win her over?

That is correct. She thought I was a poser. I was just nervous as heck. I had a date scheduled for later and I didn't want to be late. Knowing what I know now, it didn't even matter. The later date was a wash, as I spent most of my time thinking about someone else. Someone I had just met.

Happily married people can write poetry filled with beauty, because they have experienced it all. Some good, some less, but always there is love.

This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. These are fine sentiments and we all feel them every now and then, but then we wake up to reality and think why would I make such a mistake as this? I will stay single for as long as I can.

Rarely will to individuals have the exact same dream. For anyone to expect someone else's dream to dovetail with theirs is foolish at best. I can totally respect your desire to remain single, it was once mine. After 40 plus years of a still going successful marriage I can safely say that my dreams have changed. I appreciate your review comments. Thank you for sharing your interesting thoughts.
