Just feeling good about something so simple, has to be a gift. I've had some of those days, where everything that is tasted, touched and smelled just made a great day. A very nice poem for the start of Spring. Best wishes.

Lovely use of words that captures the wonder and deliciousness of this fruit. Gemstones is a great word to describe this popular fruit, for it is an edible gemstone to devour. Excellent use of words and flow of lines.

Such a elegant poem that captures the joy of delicacy given in this simple fruit. Basket of rubies.... that image gives it aspark of beauty in this poem. Well done.

Lovely 5-7-5 and all about my favourite fruit
. Cherries are just so delicious and mouth watering the picture along with your word just come to life. Excellent!

I'm always impressed by a 5-7-5 that manages to pack a punch using so few words, and this is certainly no exception. Your choice of image is perfect to back up your words, and the words 'first cherries of the season' reminds us that spring has at last arrived.

Well done, and good luck in the competition with this excellent entry.

Cherries could well be rubied if the stem are pulled. The first cherries of the year are wonderful. They arelike the first of any other fruit or any first of the year or life.

I want to grab and eat the cherries in the artwork.
