I wholeheartedly agree with everything you've written here, Dennis. Who needs self-help books and pricey seminars? Just purchase a high quality leather bound Bible if you wish to spend your money on something worthwhile for self-improvement. His word is truly all we need, and the answers are all in there, but only if we take the time to read it and adopt it as gospel truth.
You know, there were several guys in the Nam while in the military who ran around whoring, drinking and smoking pot (or worse!), and taking God's name in vain left and right. Whenever they were confronted about it or politely asked not to say it, they'd often scoff and say things like; "That's what your God says, not mine!"
But when the bullets and hand grenades began flying, whose name do you think they called on first and foremost, Poseidon, or Zeus perhaps? Nope, it was God save me, God, please help me...things like that. They were never any atheists in any foxholes I ever heard of...

Yes this was very informative, and i do wish we had a hotline to call, most times getting an appointment with the pastor is too much of a wait.

Deniz: I pray that this touches the hearts of the lost, depressed and hurt. Good message of Grace. The shofars are blowing! It is finished! Jesus paid the price - Gal 3:13. Great scriptures to share the Good News to the Nations! Isaiah 9:6 - the government is on His shoulders as we praise Jesus, wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, prince of peace!
