Hi Karen,

I love this story. I especially like the little boy who asks so many questions. Is this a true story about your son or just something you made up? Regardless, it was a wonderful read. I have lots of things I started writing and didn't finish. I should get to them too.

It's been my goal this year to dig out the things I never finished and either finish writing them or pitch them. I've been doing that and I have lots more to look through. Thank you for your kind review and comments for my story, Kat. It's a combination of my son and my imagination. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

I've been digging out poems I've written and don't remember if I've posted them to FS before or not. So I've been changing them so they're different.

I love this little story. Little ones sure are full of questions that is for sure. It is a great story of faith and teachings of God. I love the ending. He sure had a good come back for his Mom.

This was a delight to read! It reminded me of my daughter, who I say was born asking questions! The dialogue used is so realistic, that I was thoroughly engaged from the start ... with lots of smiles along the way. You brought back such wonderful memories for me, and I thank you. He is a very smart child as he gets her in the end! lol! Apple/tree philosophy! Bright Blessings! Pat :)

Thank you for this wonderful review, Pat. Nothing pleases me more in a review than when a reader says my words brought happy memories to mind. Thank you for that and I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story. Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to read.

Well, he outsmarted you, Karyn, like my kids used to do. This is funny, valid, and so well-written. We had to be careful about those baby questions. Every time our oldest son asked us for another baby in the family, we another one - whether we meant to or not. This is a good one. Love, Jeanie

This is a darling little story and I can just see max as he asks all the questions, and see his scrunched up face at some of the answers. Patricia

Indiana: Such a cute story with questions and time spent together. Children will remember the time more than the stuff. Treasure these connections. I like the mess and you are a great organizer. Teach a child the way they should go and they won't depart. Make a difference in a child, one at a time. Have him help you bake cookies too. Keep writing...you are on a roll.... a cookie or two! flylikeaneagle

Heh-heh, enjoy it I did, Indy. I can remember having conversations a lot like this one with my own kids when they were little. Only our daughter was always the inquisitive one who had to know everything. Why's the grass green when the sky is blue? How come water is blue like sky instead of green like grass, since grass needs water to grow? As for the questions about babies and where they came from, those questions were easy to answer... "Go ask your mommy." Heh-heh...

Cute little story...~Dean

Thanks for your kind review and comments for my little story, Dean. It was always fun giving answers to their questions that were age appropriate. The "because God made it that way" was good enough only when they were satisfied there wasn't more scientific answers to their questions. Thanks for reading!

This was a delight to read. I appreciate that when you were writing what Max said, you wanted, sometimes, to reflect the way he pronounced some words. But, in 'I been wonderin' about sum things' I don't think 'some' should have been changed to 'sum', as both these words are correctly pronounced in exactly the same way.

Thanks for taking the time to read and review my story, Adrian. You're absolutely right about some/sum and I'll change it as soon as I'm done with these reviews. Sum just looks more like a kid word to me. LOL thamks for your comments.

Cute story, Indy. At first, I thought you were going for all-dialogue. I like the way you write kids dealing with their parents. You capture that restlessly asking, but barely listening thing that kids do.
That universal 'God answer' can backfire, though, can't it?

Peace, Lee

Thanks so much for your review, hw. Yeah, that God answer sure wouldn't work for some questions. I'm glad you enjoyed this simple story. Thanks for reading.
