Love is vulnerable,
fragile like thin glass
but its strength is as strong
as diamonds
Elemental is its makeup
One molecular detour
Like the runaway neutron
Will create havoc

Love felt is a balmy salve
Tasted is a delicate balance
Breathed is a filled with life's oxygen
Infused is blood's sanctity
Held lifts the weight of the world
Seen is the transformation of grace

Least understood
When the beaker explodes
But a welcomed relief
When the force of gravity
Grounds and polarizes
Its truth

All in so few words,
In so few actions
It will be okay
When one says
the one who knows you best
I love you

take care dear sweet man..

Jimi

love is every days gravity measured and weighed yet carried by desires sub conscience need to breathe. love is life...always has been and will be... the desire of every hearts hope realized. I will, you Take care of your Son...he needs you now. -smile-...and stop being mad at me. thank you Jimi. love Michael

Love and faith seem to go hand in hand here. Some interesting metaphors that really made me think, such as: "give me golden eggs laid safe only mine/ cover my life with yours" Your poem can have several meanings. The line that got me confused a bit was "Angry Moses rock fresh water faith" The word 'angry' doesn't seem to go with love. Maybe I'm misreading something. Great imagery as always. Well crafted. Les

Something about this works strikes me as being understood more by the writer than by most of the readers. Maybe I am older than I thought for I can understand a Bob Dylan metaphor but the ones here completely have me baffled But just for writing it and taking the chance others would understand I have to High "5" yea lol

Excellent photo that complements your poem perfectly. It tells about love, and has
some nice wordplay in it, like Wilhelm Tell. The first and last chapter are the best ones as often with you.

Dear Michael - I may be off track on this one. But to me this speaks of love as a whole, the way it gets inside us and guides us. The faith to believe in it, with all its layers and functions. We all need it, and love I think is often misjudged, given rules of what is and what isn't. Yet for me love encompasses All....and I mean All. Least that is what I get from this one:)
Thanks for sharing,
mo

I don't really understand this. You have a lot of nice words. How does Moses, William Tell, Johnny Appleseed and Jesus fit together? Then there is cupid and the golden egg mixed in there. If I'm missing the boat, clue me in. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I'd like to kick a can down the road with you and talk about Moses and Jesus.
reply by the author on 04-Apr-2015
yea...I can see that. but ...were gonna need to work on your approach,,,-wink- ...when I come to kick a can...I politely ring the bell, introduce myself and then take to the street. If yer gonna hang with me your gonna have to dress yourself accordingly . alright...? alright lets unsaddle the horses and get to kickin'...-smile- after you please-
reply by fossilhunter on 04-Apr-2015
You might ought to ring the bell. I may be your grandmother's best friend, but kicking cans (Campbell's Pork 'n Beans) is good for thinking. I'll be dressed appropriately for a dusty road thought exchange.

Your style just blows me away. I loved this one, had to read it a couple of times to get the full impact.
The repeated stanzas added splendor to the over-all poem.

Well done Michael.

You are the master of making thought-provoking references in your poems--in this one, from Moses to William Tell and Johnny Appleseed. I liked the poem coming full circle with the repeat of the first stanza. "Everything...is going to be okay"! Smiles- Joan

He's not big on gifts, but I got us a solid chocolate bunny! Our son has had the stomach flu, so we'll have a quiet dinner of roast lamb and the trimmings. I hope you enjoy some festivities and sunshine. Many more hugs- Joan

Michael: tender with some rough/gruf edges saying "I am the man", yet saying "play me, I'm yours". Very well done. This poem shows a softer you. You got it bad!! Happy Easter! distant thunder

Ah...no...not really....I'm saying what we all say at least in silent prayer....I need you. I believe we ...all people, being created in His image own an innate longing to be loved supreme. Have you ever noticed...experienced...ah a soul...um bewildered, unsure, frightened...when great change...or tribulation encroaches...who do they...you...turn to....? who's voice of comfort do they seek, who is the ballast that steady's their ship. It was raining today....I had to wait until lunchtime for my customer to get home to let me inside....I'm painting both...and I wrote this waiting. Alright Thunder....love Michael
