And the poet knows.../ human thunderstorms/ wet as wingless birds/ dreaming thirst- yes, because the poet is a human thunderstorm, poetry what we reach for to restore those wings. Yet we know we are doomed to fail- we are our own harshest critics- but have to keep trying. This is one of your best and I would six, but I am out.
