Are their groupies for writers???...I would be one of yours!!! There is no genre that you don't excel in. I forgot what the prompt was till the end, and THEN I remembered. This is more my speed! Love..and I loved it!!!

You crafted a very well, believable story behind the song. Everything fits. The flow is great. I like the mention of the 60' things since the song is from that decade.

Hi Mike,
just got so caught up in the story, the song choice didn't matter... very cleverly crafted and presented. I really enjoyed your interpretation in such a real life situation... not necessarily in a blurred band's environment, but in the trials and games we put ourselves through to find the other half to our missing desires.
Great work and all the very best in this contest... you are always a strong contender in my books!

I thought this was a perfect story for that song. It's exactly what I was thinking of when I heard it, so long ago. I don't know what I would suggest you change about it. My only suggestion, humbly offered, is that it seems a bit predictable, especially for you, who can think up such beautiful and sometimes harrowing storylines. Still, it's a good entry, and I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

I loved that song mate. Very simplistic very easy going. Why do people think that love is like that? Here today gone tomorrow. Isn't that the puppy love kind? Does it go to the next level I mean the horizontal mumbo jumbo? Or is it just the knowing me knowing you kind...loved that song too hehe. Good teeny boppa story mate.

lol. Reminds me of my sons and their loves and losses -- and my own mind trying to get the names right without calling anyone by an ex's name. Your writing reminds me of another oldie but goodie -- "Everybody Plays the Fool". Best to you with the entry and thank you for still another grand contest.

Love at any age is exciting, You just want to declare "I love you and I want you to love me (for right now) and I want us to be together (for right now) and build a life together (for right now) . God bless those who have managed to do just that and make it work for any length of time. And yet, love at any age is exciting. Good story.

I loved the read. The story feels real. It is difficult to love again after being hurt, even if the new person is more suited to you or you have fallen deeper in love with them, it is hard to trust again.
