Denver to 'Frisco, eh? I live twenty miles south of there. Small world. With flight attendants like these, the world becomes VERY small. Closed-minded, one- sided people.
You don't suppose she looks at Oprah Winferey or Wendy Williams while sitting at home on an off day in front of the t.v. wishing she were a 'talk show diva?'
Well, let's just pray and hope not.

The job sounds glamorous, but they are only waitresses in the sky. I was a waitress on the land, preferred it that way with my feet on the ground. Your poem most certainly did not need an illustration. Your words were all the imagery it needed. :) Sandra. xsx

Your words describe the person to a tee. I had a reason to fly, on another airline, a few months ago and experienced much of the same attitude from a pert, little blonde lady. Customer service ain't what it used to be. Well done, poet.

This lady sounds like she does not like her job or maybe she is having a bad day. With not a bit of serenity is an excellent line that shows how she was acting and creates a clear scene on the plane.

Wow...so many people working in unfulfilled jobs for years...going through the motions-but for her so much preparation to get there. Flight attendants are a service profession are they not? Why is she surprised?

A surely stewardess surely sucks. Your portrait of her nails a person that is either having a long bad day, or someone who doesn't appreciate the blessing a good job is. It seems like today's generation feels like everything is owed to them. That me the case here. Good free verse sketch.

She irritated the hell out of you, this girl? That certainly comes across, and the physical description does the trick so far as her appearance and manner are concerned. I wonder, was she having a bad day? I have a degree of sympathy for anyone waitressing at 25,000 feet, and the last line encapsulates how pointless the corporate approach to customer service is.
