Beautiful , tragic, so real. this wrings my heart with its images of a brave man who loses the only thing he has left to the ugly cruel war. Well written , rhyme perfect, rhythm perfect no typos. spot on, well done cheers Cass

What a fine tribute to those whose lost their lives defending their country. A twist to make the lost one a lady. Very well written and expressed, and the picture complements the poetry to a tee. Makes me want to go and look for that four leafed clover. Blessings..

It was beautiful, and pressure should say passion.

Very emotionally charged piece. A sad statement of the way of the world we live in. As long as there are have's and have not's there will be war and death is inherent with that beast. The emptiness of the survivor's tears is impressively stated. You truly did a wonderful job with such a sad subject

Thank you very much. It is great when an idea you had many years ago finally tak shape and prove to be what you hoped it would be.

A nicely composed love and tragedy poem dedicated to those who have fallen in battle, leaving behind a lover, remembered but not forgotten. Well composed in a nice even meter, an unusual reversal of the normal subject, that of a man venturing to war! Written abcb rhyming, in an even meter, I particularly liked, the fields of clover watered by his tears, well done, a pleasant and sensitive read, blessings, Roy.

As an Army Veteran I really could appreciate the message of this poem. It flowed nicely and I enjoyed the story. Write on.

Thank you, few times do we hear about the casualties where the one being killed was female. I felt that they should be represented as well. Although If I had my way no one would ever be killed in war ever again.
